(A1:S1) "Goblins come to Hillcrest"

General Summary

Our story begins in the small mining town of Hillcrest. It was a quiet night when, by fate or some other coincidence, our four heroes ended their daily journey in The Black Dog Inn.   First to arrive was the traveling bard. A young human girl named Theresa who arrived on Tropea alone and wandered the continent, honing her skills with the lute in order to gain meager coin. She sat in the corner booth, strumming a tune softly as background music.   The next hero to arrive was the high elf wizard, Zinjor. A shorter than normal elf, Zinjor has survived a lot of dangers. Currently, he is a bit of an outcast. Trying to survive on the measly coin he earned in his working days, his luck had just about run out. He sits at the bar, bleeding his pockets dry and drowning his thoughts in ale mugs.   About a half hour later, a Tiefling gracefully strides into the bar. Cromch eyes the Tiefling a bit, who introduces himself as Rolsus. It had been a long time since Cromch had seen someone brandish weapons so openly, especially so many. Rolsus notices this and promises to keep his weapons sheathed.    Last but not least to arrive was Aeos. A dwarf cleric of an ancient God, dragged himself slowly towards the bar. He ignores the stares from the few drunken patrons, and orders a mug of ale. He sits quietly and away from the others, hoping nobody recognizes the symbol on the shirt over his armor.   Conversations ensue and some of our protoganists meet that night. They each spend a few silver to rent rooms for the next couple days, and fall asleep shortly to the sounds of Theresa's lute.   The next morning, our heroes awake to an empty bar. Rolsus assists Cromch in setting up the front area before the morning rush of people come in. Zinjor and Theresa manage to recognize the symbol on Aeos' overshirt, and are shocked to hear him talk to some merchants about removing the symbol. Aeos still decides to remove it, and the merchants do it for a nominal fee.   Shortly thereafter, as Aeos and Zinjor are exploring the town, they hear some screaming coming from a shack. They both ran to find a miner, bleeding from several wounds and surrounded by town guards. "Goblins..." He said. "They're in the mines..."    The guards helped him back to the Black Dog Inn, which warned Theresa and Rolsus about the excursion in the mines. When the party met at the entrance to the shack, the captain of the guard tells them that he will pay them handsomely if they clear the mine of Goblins.   The party accepts, and delve into the mine. Slaughtering Goblins on the way. The party met a Goblin wizard named Plink, who they managed to charm and get the boss Goblin, Plop to come out of his cave. After dispatching Plop and Plink, they searched the Goblin mine to find a prisoner: A cloaked and horribly disfigured man, who doesn't give the party a straight answer on why he was captured.    Luca Ruskan thanks the party for saving him and lets them know that he has a job for them. Late at night, after the bar section of the tavern closes, The Wanderer meets with the party and tells them that he needs assistance acquiring an ancient artifact. One that, when used would restore his face and his inheritance to the Ruskan Empire. He is the oldest son, and when he was born in his disfigured state, his father locked him away and supplanted his younger brother as sole heir.    He says he will reward the party with whatever they want in the Ruskan Empire, and they will be in high positions in his council. The party reluctantly agrees, and goes asleep in their rooms.
