Session XXX: "Also, I killed a guy for you." Report

General Summary

Departing with a word of warning to the Devils of Tip-Top the group decided they have had enough of the Bloodmire. All of them longing for the comforts that Shadycreek had to offer them, such as beds and food. The items they needed to fetch for Ravi were obtained and the vial created. There was nothing left here but danger and dieseases.
  Returning to the Savalirwood Kethra drove the cart pulled by Bailiwick's summoned steed. After two days of travel they came upon the site where the green dragon corpse was. The egg noticably gone and the dragon already starting to decay. The area around it suffering from its decay and becoming a bog filled with poisonous swamp gas that had claimed the lives of many small animals. The group decided to carry on. During their travels Arkeshia mentioned to the others the dream she had and how it has her torn between taking care of honor and seeing her family.
  Settling in for the night, just around twighlight something odd occurred. The small rust-red moon of Rudius became stuck in place over-head and moved from a wanning position into a full one. Gaining a blood-red hue it seemed to crack as if coated in spiderwebs. It was from there that the sky stopped turning, they were in an perpetual twighlight.
  Near-by Arkeshia could hear the triumphant laughter of Celey Martengrew and demanded he come and explain the situation to them. The hobgoblin explained the Divine Gate and how its been his life's journey to destroy it. He noted that he had released three minor deities thus far; Auril, Draconich, and Levitus. This was the first greater deity to emerge. He noted that he did not directly perform this, but was merely a tool to advance things. Arkeshia demanded to know how to do the same, to which Celey declined yet offered her an augmented Stone of Sending.
  With the "night" over, the group returned to the road and arrived at the Blooming Grove where they found Ravi paying tribute to her mother's grave. Escorting the halfling back into town and dropping her off at the Treant's Grove they discovered the place had been bought and locked via magic.
  "Property purchased by the Merace Company. Under new management."
  Deflated Ravi pondered what she would do next. A town crier called out the latest news: "End of the days are here. Empire falters to Kryn forces. Hupperdook in peril. Felderwin braces for war. Mardoon family afflicted by odd ice diesease."
 
  Arkeshia and Freya were determined to aid Ravi and wanted to break in. Finding the backdoor only locked via a simple manner Arkeshia quickly picked it and Freya, Ravi, and her broke into the Treant's grove and promptly began looting everything they could. Arkeshia decided to swipe six items near the end of their looting.
  During this Kethra abandonded Bailiwick in the cart and went to the Golden Drider to speak with Zeth. He informed her that a lesser noble by the name of Xanbul Merace has been buying up property within the Gruff Slum to try and establish a hold within the town. He also let her know he intended to try and rise in power by forming his own crime family with the Mardoons on the way out.
  The trio rushed up to the mansion with Bailiwick in tow. Kethra returned to the scene of the crime and spotted one individual who saw the whole thing and assassinated him before returning to the mansion herself. Things have now officially reached the 'complicated' status. Also Freya obtained a children's mask that looks like a turtle.
  At the mansion Arkeshia spoke to Elewen on the current on-goings and the elf shared her appreciation and worries of their new location despite its current renovation. She also informed Arkeshia that she was unsure how Honor felt about being Gajine's apprentice. Stated that she heard from a few of her associates that Honor has been sneaking out at night to visit the Golden Drider.
  Kethra pulled everyone into her old room and informed them of what she knew. Freya began to panick and the team decided that Shadycreek was no longer safe for them and went into hiding. Tomorrow they would take Honor and escape north to return her home.
  Ketra went out to gather supplies, Arkeshia cast invisibility and went down to Knead Bread?, Freya hid at Bailiwick's cave, and Bailiwick went to fetch Honor from the Flintshard forge to escort her to Knead Bread?. ---
  While everyone was out Freya shapeshifted into a stray dog and, with the aid of K.K., sought out the various buildings recently purchased by the Merace Company and burned them down. This includes the Treant's Grove. Through the use of the spell "Enlarge/Reduce" Freya broke in once more and grabbed what she could of clothes for Ravi along with what was in the register and fled.
