Session 0.5

With Character, creation concluded we had an Introductory Adventure Encounter.   Lafayette, Crow, Bob, and Panical some place around Chowchilla banded together over the past few days and decided to travel to Modesto California for reasons of Mutual interest. Lafayette had a postcard from his Brother that sounded really dire and mentioned an Ammo Box he had left for him with someone named "Rusty" and it listed the Address of 1125 I Street Modesto in the New California Republic. Crow was following a Job offer listed on a Piece of Paper mentioning a reward of 50 caps for a recovery Job by some woman named Carol at the State Theater also in Modesto. They Traveled with Bob a wandering Junk merchant with her friend and Security Panical North along the remains of Highway 99 to Modesto.   As the approached the Town they found a road Labeled "I Street" and made haste to enter the city to avoid an oncoming radioactive storm coming from the west. As they passed several destroyed buildings Painical pointed out a sturdy Brown Stone and Terracotta Tiled Building that seemed to be in a better state than most that just so happened to be the Modesto El Viejo Post Office 1125 I street. As the group made their way to the building Lafayette and Crow stuck close to the building walls to avoid detection and Bob and Panical walked up through the center of the street while a green tulle fog began to rise. Lafayette spotted what looked to be a raider popping his head out of one of the 2nd story windows of the building. Lafayette alerted the rest of the group and they split with Bob and PAnical taking the side alley to the back of the building and Crow and Lafayette sneaked into the front entrance.   As Bob and Panical made their way around back the accidental frustrations of Panicals Leg armor snagging on a chainlink fence alerted another raider who was at the basement stairwell behind the building. After some quick thinking and a little charm, Bob convinced the raider they meant no harm despite having a super mutant with her and that they only needed to take shelter. The Raider told them to go inside as he watched mostly out of site at the bottom of the basement stairwell.   Meanwhile, Lafayette and Crow Snuck inside the front entrance and did some hasty inspection of the lobby and PO box area inside the main entrance. They could hear movement and conversations both upstairs and outback. They Stealthfully picked up the Dutch door lock and entered the delivery service area and hid among the letter cases and shelving to observe what was going on. Two Raiders were in the building areas scavenging when the one outside called to the one that was upstairs that came down, Bob and Panical entered the service area as Lafayette and Crow remained hidden. The lone Raider chose not to act in any violent way due to the charms of Bob and the imposing nature of Panical a small verbal exchange occurred with the bandit sarcastically saying "Look around or make yourself at home. It ain't my place. But don't mess with us Rust Devils if you know what's good for ya!"   Cut Scene ~ To Giga Chad working just two blocks away at the State Theater is approached by his boss "Carol" who asks him to go with one of her goons "Louie" to head over to the Old El Viejo Post Office and speak to another Mr. Handy named "Rusty" and acquire two large 5-gallon cans of Oil from him. Thus Giga Chad and "Louie" Depart.   Back at the Post office, the Raider in the basement stairwell calls out to the raider who has come down from the second floor and is conversing with Bob and Panical telling him "Hey I'm In. Get your ass down here!" The raider slinks past Panical and Bob and bolts out the back dock door while Crow and Lafayette watch from the shadows.   Cut Scene ~ Giga Chad detects movement and they approach stealthfully to the back of the post office from the state theater and see a raider run outside and immediately down the stairwell to the basement they then see other activity inside.   Inside the post office, Bob begins to make herself at home and search the building while Panical watches the Brahmen. Crow and Lafayette make their way to the window to see where the raider ran to. Suddenly Bob discovers a MR. Handy Robot "Rusty" pops one of his eyes out of the inoperative elevator and challenges her as a trespasser she quickly disarms the charges of the robot and mentions that they were invited in by some "Rust Devil Raiders" This quickly throws "Rusty into a heated tizzy and he demands to know where they went and bolts outside the rear dock doors after the raiders.   Giga Chad sees Rusty Bolt out of the dock doors of the post office and quickly bolts up to him inquiring about the cans of oil. "Rusty" excitedly replies in some sort of digital gibberish as to Chad and offers the cans if only Chad will help him vanquish these Raider Trespassers and the two Bolt down the Basement stairs. Shortly after Crow and Lafayette follow the robots as Bob and Panical start to look about the upstairs of the Post office.   Cut Scene ~ Das Israd is in a cold sleep chamber within Vault 69 Below the old El Viejo Post office he seems to be in sort of a state of Dream Consciousness as he hears the faint clanking of metal and buzzing and the inside of his Eylids seem to illuminate a faint orange-red and he can hear a profound hissing.   The Two Robots hurry through open doors and enter a basement workshop of sorts ahead of them as they can hear the raiders far ahead down a pipe-lined passage. They Follow Down the passage and Lafayette and, Crow Follow quickly trying to assess what is going on. Meanwhile, Bob and Panical poke around the upstairs break room of the post office and Panical rips open a Nuka Cola Vending machine recovering 3 Bottles of Nuka Cola.   The Raiders spring ahead past a catwalk across a large sewer canal as a massive Vault door Rumbles and squeaks open and they both bolt in. The Robots arrive and just see the last raider entering the vault door. They quickly follow and "Rusty attempts to go through the open door" Lafayette and Crow view this as they are on the opposite side of the catwalk. Suddenly two Shots ring out and "Rusty" takes two .38 rounds center mass to his Main Body and Falls back Hurt Badly. Crow Sets up in a covered position and pulls out his Hunting Rifle. Lafayette crosses the catwalk and draws his pipe gun as Chad moves through the door and attacks a raider that just shot Rusty with his Buz saw arm. Meanwhile, the other raider Frantically taps away at a terminal and alarms start sounding and lights start flashing as the hiss of more doors open behind him.   Crow Fires a shot and misses the Raider tapping away at the computer a Shot whizzes overhead and literally blows off the arm of the Raider engaged with Chad as the Raider falls back blood pouring from his arm and quickly bleeding to death. Chad Rushes forward to engage the Raider at the terminal and Lafayette fires a shot from his pipe gun grazing Raider's left shoulder. Taken aback the raider hits his final computer key and more hissing is heard as the fire alarm sprinklers are activated and water begins to shower from the ceiling above.    Cut Scene ~ Das Israd falls out of his cryo tube onto the steel floor of long passage alarms are blaring he can hear clanks of metal screams and gunshots coming from down the passage as he is awakened by the sounds and a shower of water from the fire system sprinklers and he staggers towards and opening door.   A single Shot Cracks out from Crow's Hunting Rifle that critically hits the raider at the Terminal in the chest as he is blown to the floor he now slumps lifeless on the floor. A groggy Das Israd stumbles through the open passage to see Two MR. Handy Robots a Ghoul and a Human in some sort of Drifters Garb.   Cut Scene ~ Upstairs in the Breakroom Pancial is putting away his new found Nuka Cola hears distant gunshots below and speaks up to Bob "Me Think we missing da Fun..."
