General Summary
Chapter One: Elysium
Elysium was held in the historic Medina Athletics Club at the Intercontinental Hotel. It was Halloween and the Fledglings had just been raised to Neonates.
Chapter Two: The Mall
After arriving at the Mall, the characters split up. Bridget speaks to witnesses, Nuo checked the security footage, and Samuel investigated the crime scene.
Bridget found out from her first witnesses that the victim was a long-haired brunette female.
On further discussions about what happened Bridget found out that the victim and perpetrator had one interaction with the victim. A fight in the foodcourt that escalated to the "murder" outside. But she also found out that the guy had been watching the victim for a while.
Nuo found the perp on video footage but it showed a strangely blurred figure.
After more review of the mall's security footage, it seems the perp worked alone.
In a pure "Eureka!" moment, Nuo found the perpetrator in the mall hours before the crime, and he was unblurred. The killer is a Male of average height and seems to be mid-to-late thirties in age.
Samuel engaged his enhanced senses at the crime scene and examined the aftermath of the murder. Focusing in on the victim, he found that the victim was a female, Mekhet Ancillae. She bore no relation to Samuel beyond sharing the same Clan. She had a strangely ancient bloodline, but not the one she had at Embrace, her blood was changed by an Avus to be this rare bloodline.
Then Samuel noticed something that gave him chills - someone else witnessed the murder, and felt intense emotional ties to the victim. And it was a female human teenager...
The three met after an hour and shared their gathered information. It takes about a half-hour and afterwards they split again, with Bridget ordering the car, and Nuo and Samuel attempting to find out what they can from the security footage of the aforementioned food court fight.
Bridget orders their car from the car service, but felt watched the entire time.
Nuo and Samuel examine the security footage. They found two interesting pieces of information. The first is that the perp sat watching the same area of the food court for most of the day, unblurred, only to become blurry after a teenaged human girl began her shift at the greek food stall. The Perp had dark hair, olive skin, and dressed casually. The fight began four hours after the perp became blurry, when the victim arrived at the food stall. The fight was a swift and brutal hand-to-hand brawl between two skilled combatants.
Unfortunately, the undead nature of the Vampire means her Beast kept her from being identifiable while on the surveillance footage. However, there was enough of a visual over the course of several shots that a composite could be put together of her from behind and the side. While Bridget waits for the car, she and Nuo tear through their contacts list to find anyone who even barely matches the description. Samuel admits that he doesn't personally know any Vampires who meet the description.
When the car arrives, it is decided among the three that they need to check on their friends in the Princedom. Cumulatively they have sixteen names...
