Session 21

The team arrived in Glimmerrest, there are a few villagers walking around and asked one of them about anyone that has been through town that may live up in the mountains. The one woman said there is some hermit that comes down here every few months to get some supplies from Ebon's trading post over there on the right, and there is a small tavern on the left.   The team checked out Ebon's first, they inquired about the hermit that visits, he said he comes down from the mountains ever couple of months or so, he was here about a month ago now. He asked if there looking to trek up there since they didn't look like they had the right equipment. He said he has enough to outfit the group but that would drain his supplies, so he asks them to get some skins for him to restock and he would give them a discount. Our hero's agreed and later returned with three bear and three giant badger skins, since its late in the day they said they would be back in the morning before heading out.   They all went over to The Tiny Lantern tavern for a meal and hopefully a place to sleep. This place doesn't have real accommodations and the owner offers them the stables to sleep in for a gold piece for the whole group. Even though that seemed expensive for this place they really don't have any options and the owner knows it.   In the morning they got there supplies headed toward the mountains following a the crudely drawn map that Ebaris gave them. Just as they reached the base of the mountains, they were attacked by three Stone Melders hiding along the road. A fight broke, Violet cast Maximilian’s Earthen Grasp to try and snare one, but the they had access to the same spell and they cast taht as well. At one point in the battle one of the Stone Melders was in on hand while Zorkxire was held in the other. The two of them being close together were fighting from inside a giant dirt fist while being crushed. Eventual the team overpowered their enemy's and won the battle.   After a short rest they continued on there journey, after a few days journey to Pyran it was getting colder as they progressed upwards. They came across a rope bridge over top a river, Zorkxire decided to cross first. As he got to the middle of the bridge he discovered that he and the group are surrounded from the high ground by Bugbears.
