Session 9

After the part took a short rest, it was time to check out the rest of the place. The next untraveled hallway had some kind of nesting material strewn about. As they approached swarms of rats came out to attack. Click threw a torch into the middle of the hay laying on the ground, that took care of one of the swarms the others scattered, some moving up toward the group some doubling back into the darkness beyond the hallway. After the rats were taken care of there was the matter of the fire that starting to grow, smoke is slowly filling up the hallway and making it difficult to breath. They team eventually stomped out the fire and the smoke cleared.

  The team headed down the hallway into a large central worshiping chamber, there was a statue of a woman holding a book and a staff. Groob ran right up to it and started trying to move the statue and pull on the items it was holding. The others stood back just in case, but it turns out that he found the following two items, an enduring spellbook and a pole of collapsing.

    After checking out the rest of the area the decided to leave this old temple and head back down the path they started. As they traveled a couple of hours, Violet began to recognize the area, something seemed familiar along this path something reminded her of when she was younger. She broke off north of the road, it was another path but not one most people would see, something she must have been taught to look for as a child. As the rest followed along the team was ambushed by some strange looking evil eyed chimpanzee and some moving thorny branch like creatures. This was a tough fight, the chimp like creature had the ability to breath fire, and took down Ronin, yet again. Eventually the overpowered the beasts and bested them, but all were beaten up pretty badly, they continued to march on.

  As Violet continued down the path she knew, they came to what looked like an abandoned village, Violets village to be exact.
