Session 15

The team decided to take on the quest, Ebaris tells them that Pyran one of the other apprentices lives up in the mountains. He has a piece but he knows much more about the artifact, he helped Isaac build it in the first place. She allows them to stay the night, and in the morning give them a map a roughly drawn map and will notify him that your team is coming, she has a way of contacting him. She tells them of different ways through the forest, but the team takes the safest route following the main road.   A day or so journey passes, they encountered some orcs along the way but they proved no problem. They passed a few small towns along the way and was was a mining town, as they left and passed by one of the mine entrances they noticed some weird scorch marks on one of the wooden signs like there was some recent damage. Over head about 100 feet in the air was what can only be described as a large shard of glass that was black with strange twinkling lights inside of it. Smoke shot an arrow into it and as it closed in, it appeared to enter into the shard and then the arrow just floated slowly off out of site inside of it.   The team got closer to investigate, as they approached a two large toad like creature came out with some weird glowing yellow goop all over it, it looked malformed a bit and attached. It caught the team off guard but they dispatched them. Next the team tried to get around the fence to look at the hole in the ground that leads into the mine, as they did the was a strange looking creature that lumped out of the bushes, it looked like a deformed goblin, but all the limbs looked melted into a mass of flesh and bone, covered in some weird green glowing slim, mumbling something in goblin. Click know that language tried to talk to it, it just kept pleading "kill me" over and over again, the team took pity on it and did what it asked.
