Session 19

  The team approached the gates, the first of two gates was opened, as they entered the gate was closed behind them. After a brief check, the second gate was opened to allow them to pass. It seems that leaving doesn't require the rigorous search entering the city. The team headed north, they all got to talking and she told them about her husband and her fathers disapproval, he doesn't even know about his grand-kid or the one that she is currently carrying.   After half a days travel the team came across some fresh footprints that seemed odd, they followed to the back end some bushes. Click went to check it out and found a dead body, it was covered in tiny little slits all over the body. The found more foot prints which lead across the the path and into the brush on the other side of the road, this led into a clearing with a small body of water and a cabin off to the one side. As they passed the water they were attacked by a water elemental and a fight broke out. The team tried to talk with the creature but it looked to be standing it's ground but they did prevail over it.   Next they approached the cabin and knocked on the door, a young woman answered with her older dog and invited them in, she was making dinner and would like have them join. as odd as it seems they went in cautiously. They asked about the water elemental outside, she said she wasn't aware of anything like that, and then was asked about the dead body. She said she didn't know anything about it but a few days ago there was a man here looking around the but then he left and I haven't seen him since. As this was all going on she was tending to the kitchen preparing extra food for her new guests. Nudge, out of the corner of his eye thought he may have seen something strange in the young woman, for an instant she appeared old and frail, but only for a split second.   The young lady insisted that they sit down and enjoy a meal, but Nudge wasn't buying it, which eventually enraged the her and she showed her true self to be a hag and the old dog turned into a hell hound. She screamed "you killed my water elemental you must pay" and both her and the hell hound attacked. This was a ruff battle but in the end the hag and hound lost, but the team was spent they needed to rest up a bit and tend to there wounds. After a much needed rest they searched the house and only found a small box under the bed, it contained a salve but for what they didn't know.
