Session 17

It took the team a five days to get outside the forest, as they exit there its a guard tower along the main road that leads into the forest. It looks like it was just constructed recently. There are two guards on watch currently, the team approaches and Smoke introduces himself and the team. The two guards, Dustan and Thorald, tell them that they work for the king in Ukors, the main roads and cities along side the road are being guarded against the Order of Paxius. They warn the group to stay on the main roads, they dont have the man power to protect everywhere. The guards tell them that there are a couple of cities along the to Ukros, at the fork in the road there is Clearbook and if they follow the fork up to the right they will reach Salburg.   The team heads along the road toward Clearbrook, about two days into their journey the team sees vendor cart. The team approaches and asked where they had come from, he said from the north on this little side path, there's a small village there called Hammerfel. The team decided to head up north from here thinking its more a direct route to the mountains since they were just informed of anther settlement along the way.   After a few days travel they arrived at Hammerfel, they approached the southern gate, they were allowed to enter but in a staging area where they were searched, and told that they may keep there weapons but they must stay in there scabbards and such and any show of weapons or hostility will result in immediate imprisonment. The team felt like the guards where looking for something but didn't say what. After they entered the group stoped at the first tavern just past the gate, The Travelers Rest Inn.   The all get breakfast and get a couple of rooms for the night. The team splits up, Smoke and Nudge head Tyrin the Healer to pick up some healing potions and the rest head to the open market to look around. As Smoke and Nudge leave the shop one of them notices a rather large man down the street carrying a large sack over his shoulder. It almost looks like the sake moved very little and then stopped, something seems off.
