Ahlysaaria Dryaalis
After being discovered as an angel-touched Aasimar living among her evil aligned drow people, she was hunted into exhile, driving her to the surface world in search of her calling. With the guidance of the deity Sarenrae, she learned compassion, kindess, forgivness, and to protect those who cannot protect herself. Now a devout paladin, she leads the Lady Lenora Church of Sarenrae in Aberystwyth, where she heals the sick, teaches the holy tenets to congregants, and acts as one of the three Judges in the town's government.
Azalea Featherwind
After leaving her druid tribe to complete her coming-of-age trials, Azalea's wanderings led her to Aberystwyth, where she fell in love with the townspeople, the clear skies, and the surrounding forests. She quickly decided to settle in town, where she acts as warden for the Sister Tree Sanctuary, a behemoth tree where she resides and raises birds of all kinds for companions and messengers for the town. Gentle, kind, and ever optimistic, Azalea is always willing to help someone in need, and she now acts as a Judge for Aberystwyth's local government.
Bitsy Berylborne
Co-owner of Bits and Bobs General Store, Bitsy prides herself in providing Aberystwyth with adventuring gear, general goods, knick knacks, and the occasional magic item at a good price. Those who frequent their shop have grown to accustomed to Bitsy's warm greeting, kind smile, and exemplary customer service as she facilitates sales from the storefront. Working alongside her husband Bob, the two support the growth of Aberystwyth with honest goods at an honest price.
Bob Berylborne
Co-owner of Bits and Bobs General Store, Bob prides himself in providing Aberystwyth with adventuring gear, general goods, knick knacks, and the occasional magic item at a good price. With a keen eye, Bob has a gift for appraisal and knowing the value of all kinds of rarities, and will happily provide those services to his community. Working alongside his wife Bitsy, the two support the growth of Aberystwyth with honest goods at an honest price.
Captain Azriel
Captain of the Fallen Star, Captain Azriel runs a tight ship that his crew would say is both fair and strict. His strong moral compass never falters, and Azriel won’t hesitate to oppose those in power who cross the line, even if that puts him at odds with law enforcement. Reserved but kind, he is a firm believer in second chances, and his crew’s loyalty to him is unmatched.
Cornelius “Tickle-Bottom” McAbernathy
Cornelius “Tickle-Bottom” McAbernathy (or Pappy to his friends) is a kooky old prospector who has a taste for gold, moonshine, and adventure. Because of his many decades of wild adventures, Pappy seems to have been almost everywhere, and is known my more people across Thyndara than one would expect. Now, Pappy has “retired” from rambling across the land and instead delights in running his tavern “The Elderflower” with his wife Helga, as well as restoring the once abandoned town of Aberystwyth into its former glory.
Ernie
Every town has one, but no other settlement has a town drunk quite like Ernie. Holding to his title, Ernie is always found at The Elderflower with at least one drink in hand and drunk as a skunk, while slurring songs in merriment on stage or doing something most people would find embarrassing. Despite his raucous behavior, Ernie is entirely harmless, and the citizens of Aberystwyth have come to find him endearing in his own special way.
Hazel Harroway
Hardworking as she is kind, Hazel Harroway can always be found bustling around The Elderflower as the town's favorite barmaid, keeping its patron's tankards full and the atmosphere light. Once held captive by bandits and forced to serve them, she was rescued by Cornelius "Ticklebottom" McAbernathy and friends, and has since found a home and family at The Elderflower with Pappy, Helga, and the goblins.
Helga McAbernathy
A battle-scarred orc warrior rippling with muscle, Helga McAbernathy was once a military leader of a warring orc nation. While standing guard over the war prisoner Cornelius "Tickle-Bottom" McAbernathy, fate intervened; the two unexpectedly fell in love, escaped the prison camp together, and never looked back. Now married and developing Aberystwyth alongside her husband, Helga co-captains the town guard, fiercely protecting her home and the people who live there.
Horace Tibbs
First-mate of the Fallen Star, Horace Tibbs is a grizzled veteran of the open sea. Once a prisoner bound for execution, Horace befriended and escaped imprisonment with Captain Azriel, who holds his ultimate respect and loyalty. Willing to die for his captain and crew, Horace sees that every order Captain Azriel commands is carried out without fail.
Krrkrrgrrk
Known better by his more easily pronounced nickname “Cookie”, Krrkrrgrrk is a Crabfolk who is as large as he is gentle. As a fledgling Crabfolk, he once lived inside the previously abandoned ship “The Fallen Star”, and was trapped there after growing too big to escape. After being rescued by Aberystwythian adventurers, he now takes to fishing for the town, feeding his friends and neighbors, and being loved by everyone in the community despite his alien appearance.
