Members of REA Team 5 descend upon the Republic Plaza in Denver, CO hoping to quickly make their way to the 50th floor, locate the source of unauthorized energy creation, and get back to base.
Night Owl makes her way to the top of the building, scoping out the area from above.
Axiom and George take entry from the ground.
But Switch Blade (a Level 37 operative) is also on the scene and confronts Night Owl on the 50th floor green space.
Their introductions quickly go south and Switch Blade punches Night Owl through two walls and into sleepy time.
While Axiom and George make their way up 50 flights of stairs, Switch Blade enters the building and is witnessed by every janitor and security guard on duty...
Axiom finally makes it to the 49th floor and begins to wreak havoc on the floor above with his telekinesis. Noticing that an elevator is making its way upward, Axiom snaps the cables causing the emergency breaks to kick in. But Switch Blade, being desolid, moves down the shaft and enters the elevator car.
Once George makes it to the 50th floor, he asks the security guards what has happened -- they inform him that the intruder is now on stuck in the 30th floor...so Geoge heads back into the stairwell.
Unseen by the IERA REA Team, Jerome gives Switch Blade the cannisters and the two escape out of the 30th floor window just as George exits the stairwell after racing back down twenty more flights of stairs.
Meanwhile, Axiom and Night Owl (now recovered from her long nap) look for the energy source. Night Owl locates it finally and Axiom looks at it through the walls.
Not quite sure what to call it, the REA Team 5 dubs it the "Stone Obelisk of Power."
