Session 9 - Basement Brawl Report

The party leaves Timothy's map shop after inquiring into Itel's black market when they run into the cult lady from earlier. Aymar with out tinking confronts here physically. He gets stopped by some of the people in the area. It takes both the party and the lady to try and convince the commoners to let them go. The lady mystirously then askes the party to follow her. Not trusting her the party sends one of its members to follow invisible.

When they get back to their room at the Gooddragon inn the lady ask the invisible person to open the door. They then proceed to ask the lady questions on why she both attacked them earlier and then also saved one of them. She explains that she is a double agent working for the seekers in Cali and is attempting to take down the cult, her name is Anatta. They make a plan to attack the print shop and then attack the temple of the cult the next day. Anatta then leaves thruogh the window.

Before going to attack they decide to head to the black market to gather a few items. They look for powerful magic items to assit them in attacking the cult. They pick up magical arrows, poisons, and bombs. On the top floor where the party found their bombs they also considered and attempted to enter into one of the upper floor but were stopped by this big burly dude. On the way out they see and enter the evil dragon tavern

Inside they find a bustling tavern full of gambling, drinking and in the center a pit. Inside of that pit fights are happening and without hesitation they atempt to enter the cage fights. They get one in, Kai Ironeye. He gets ready for the fight and enters against this guy. He was wiry and built but no match for the strenght of Kai. After that win the party wants to host a center fitght with all the theatrics between Kai and Aymar. They get it scheduled for about an hour after Kai's previouse fight.

The fight is impressive, wtih smoke and sparks, thunder. At the start Aymar gets the upper hand but through sheer determination and aid from his caster Kai KO's Aymar to a massive eruption from the crowd. After the fight the tavern keep is impressed and the crowd was very spendy, the party was well rewarded.

Having finished their preparatins for the attack they make their way to the print shop. Once inside they find the hatch to the basement.
