Currently a cataclysmic ice age known as the Neverwinter has overtaken the world, transforming entire continents and forcing mankind to desperation. The world is divided, as survival holds the only purpose left to fight for. Many races pilgrimage to distant lands seeking shelter and refuge, leaving only those who can adapt to the climate to hold key regions. Nations and Empires no longer exist, though through the chaos many factions hold kingdoms over the arctic wasteland. Wars are no longer waged for honor or glory, but for resources and strength. Some believe the winter will never end, they embrace the cold and worship it. Others believe the winter will one day end and whoever can survive it shall rule over the world.
