Session 3: The Wicked
General Summary
Arthus and Uraeus are in the Hold, Maxwell and Gonk are in the Captain's Quarters refurbishing the place into a kitchen. Vern was spending with time with Onyx on the Top Deck while Flynn decided to take a nap and shrug off his drunkness. Coming off a mutiny and demon summoning each hero spent some time to themselves. Flynn decided to take a short rest and wait for his drunken state to wear off; however, in the middle of his sleep Ozdid rallied Hup and Maf'ree to confront Flynn. Sneaking into his room they nudge a musket to Flynn's skull and restrained him eventually placing him into the brig. As they went down to the bottom deck they found Arthus and Maxwell discussing how to clean up the hold that has been covered in blood now. Ozdid ordered Maf'ree to restrain Arthas as he was with Flynn when they murdered Erwin. Arthas reacted with impulse and shot Maf'ree with an Eldritch Blast knocking him back. While this was happening there was a beautiful rainbow with a lonely bird sailing through the air nearby. Vern and Uraeus noticed the attention that onyx was giving the bird.
The Man
The Rainbow seemingly arcing further and further as it eventually shows itself to be a Meteor! Crashing into the water just a few hundred feet away it grabbed everyone's attention. The fight downstairs came to a halt with common ground to uncover what happened above deck. Placing Flynn in the brig and leaving Maxwell to guard him supposedly. As everyone went topside to get a look at the steaming meteor Onyx whispers to Vern that this meteor is, in fact, a person. Vern changing back into a human informs everyone of this news. Venron explains he can swim out to him with a rope. Vern acknowledges and uses his magical prowess to change the water around the crash site into Ice for whoever this is to have something to grab onto. Venron precedes to hold onto some rope and dive into the water towards this strange man. As Venron gets to the ice formation the crew tugs on the rope slowly pull the ice formation towards the Jewel. Eventually, they heave up Venron and this Armored man onto the main deck. Named Welos he Thanks the crew for their kindness; however, he is bombarded with questions by Arthus who has made his way towards the golden man. Arthus seems to be infatuated with Welos constantly asking him questions and such. As things calm down the sun seems to be set and people slowly begin falling asleep. Just as Vern shows Welos to a hammock he can sleep in Onyx the Panther comes over to him with a bird in his mouth. This bird is mutated with four wings and resembles that of a Raven or Crow. It has a slight green hue and smells rancid. This grabs the attention of Maxwell, Welos, Arthus, and Uraeus as they come over to Vern. They inspected the creature with only one collective thought that comes to mind when describing it; Aberration. The Heroes sleep through the night after a stressful past few days they all get good rest say for Arthas as he feels as if someone is watching him.The Wicked
Upon waking up they discuss what to do in their current situation about the temple, the curse, the man, and now the bird. Their day went on until they heard a cry from the Crows Nest. Jack Screaming, "Ship!" warning the crew of a ship north of their current position. Some of the crew become interested and watch the ship come from the horizon. Some time passes and Jack Screams again this time with Terror in his Voice, "Ship! It's the Wicked! Wicked Ship!" Ozdid being the first to hear this he almost stops with fear but quickly quenches it and thinks. He bolts downstairs to the brig and confronts Flynn immediately opening the door explaining, "The Wicked are coming, and I'd rather have ye up there than down there." As the ship slowly came into range they began firing upon the Jewel. Initially missing, the crew of the Jewel tied the sail down and sailed away from them. The front guns continued to fire upon the Jewel and eventually connected hitting the crows nest where Jack was. As he fell Maxwell casted Feather fall and Arthus used Mage Hand to bring him safely onto the top deck. The Crew attempted to turn the ship facing the Wicked with their port side in order to return fire. Turning the ship with cannons ready The Jewel fired, missing all three shots. As they miss Arthas orders Gonk to knock him unconscious. The Wicked Ship was covering ground and fire one last barrage. This next attack was much closer and was aimed at the main deck, The first shot barrel past the heroes but hit Wheaton and tore his left arm off. The next cannon went right above Gamby grazing his skull; however, the sheer force sent him flying overboard into the water. At this moment, The Wicked ship rams into The Jewel knocking both ships along each other allowing the crews to meet each other. The Wicked are both humans and Half-orcs with a large Algae cover Troll, screaming and roaring for blood. Before anything happens, Arthus wakes up and gets to his feet to exclaim, "I'm the one you're looking for," as he waves his left hand with the black spot on it. Every Wicked takes a quick glance at once towards Arthas then precedes to board the ship. The fight mostly takes place on the Jewel as the Wicked were aggressive and took the initiative. It seems that the weapons of the Wicked were coated with some kind of poison. As the battle ensued many from both sides fell. Maxwell sent out flaming spheres, while Uraeus shot arrows into the Troll, Arthus, Vern, and Welos struggled against the onslaught. Flynn noticed that Gamby was still unconscious in the water and jumped overboard to save him. Getting him to wake up they decided to swim to the Wicked boat to stowaway. As the fight continued the Jewel's crew fell slowly more and more as the Wicked seem ceaseless. Uraeus wanted to flee yet seeing the troll has became injured decided to fire a shot whilst jumping off the boat nailing an arrow into its skull killing it. She swam to Stowaway on the Wicked ship as well. Welos noticing this decides to work with Vern and Arthus to do the same. He works his way to them through the battle and sees that they are worse for wear and Vern is unconscious. Welos unveils his wings and flies to help Arthus and Vern attempting to heal and fight with them. The Wicked overwhelmed them and Welos decided to leave and attempt to stowaway on the Wicked ship. With his large wings, he was noticed by the Wicked and upon his entry of the Wicked Ship he somewhat crashed through one of the cannon outlets getting caught. Just before this, Flynn, Gamby, and Uraeus climbed aboard and split into two directions. Flynn and Gamby going downstairs while Uraeus went into a storage room on the second deck. Maxwell saw as the Crew slowly went down or jumped ship and decided to Misty Stepped over turning invisible and hiding in the same room as Uraeus. With Welos in the Brig stripped of his belonging, Flynn and Gamby in the bottom deck storage, Uraeus and Maxwell in the second deck storage and Flynn and Arthus no where to be seen, it look bleak for our heroes.Rewards Granted
