General Summary

Actaeon and Stormy continue their search for Brass in the tunnels beneath the city, accompanied by Seismic Prime. Upon venturing deep enough, they are confronted by Brass, who turns over his research concerning Acriave Industries industries. Not wanting to start a confrontation and risk Maelstrom showing up, the two heroes depart, with seismic leaving to rejoin Brass. At the last minute, Actaeon does use a listening device to learn that they plan to reconfigure the tunnels using Seismic's abilities to prevent future intrusion, and will likely attack Acriave sometime within the next two days.   Back on the surface, Backdraft, Eclipse, and the newly arrived Clay continue to duke it out with Flashover and his handlers. The ensuing fight involves lots of projectiles and an improbably amount of phasing back and forth through one particular wall. Ultimately Flashover is captured along with one of his handlers, and the total destruction of the warehouse where the fight took place is avoided by the timely arrival of Stormy and Actaeon (but mostly Stormy).   Without any immediate threats, Backdraft uses his abilities to quickly study the file Actaeon had been given by Brass. Besides information on Acriave's experiments, it also contained several newspaper articles outlining the history of metahumans going by the name "Foresight", and their battles against villains of all forms taking some variation of the name "Avarice". This culminated in an unpublished article by the late Faux Finger that outlined his conspiracy theory that the various villains fought by the Foresights were all just puppets of an extradimensional entity, which he dubbed the Avaricean.
