Session 8: The White Stallion Report

General Summary

Danyver was attacked by a starving cougar on the road, but managed to fend it off. He did a number to it, but it was mostly blunt trauma with little blood loss, it is unknown if the cougar survived. He tossed it a dried piece of meat as it limped into the brush.   The group followed the horse tracks and came upon a disheveled fortress, thinking the horse to be kept inside by the bandits. Murlo spotted a rear entrance, and the group stealthily descended into the caves under the fortress grounds. They battled a large number of bandits and then spotted their quarry, a pure white horse with an RW brand. It looked malnourished and mistreated - but alive.   Slagathor fed it some carrots to get some energy into it, while Danyver and Murlo came up with a plan. They knew there was only one way out, because they had no means of getting the horse back out the secret entrance, it was a ladder and trapdoor setup. They had to battle their way out into the fortress grounds and carve a path.   A lengthy battle took place, the adventurers were pelted with arrows, rocks, and spells flew past their heads from a bandit sorcerer. Cerberus was nearly killed, but they eventually slew the final bandit, high up in a tower. Murlo stabbed him and mooned him as he fell to his death.
