Session V: The Logical Song Report

General Summary

Robin sends the team on another mission, this time forcing Malika to accompany the party on it. He details their plans to invade a prison complex to release the prisoners and cause anarchy. Begrudgingly the party goes along with the plan. Breaking into the jail, they prepare for the jailbreak.
Sneaking into an area dedicated to holding prisoners on transfer. Magni dispatches the imp guards quickly, and Robin sets up a teleportation circle to help everyone escape when the time comes. They sneak into the main cells and fight a brutal battle with the guards. An intense back and forth between keeping the guards from sounding the alarms ensues. But during the chaos, Robin disappears. Neli transports Malika to the safe-house, as she's unable to help in the battle with the guards. They manage to defeat all the guards, but before they can even catch their breath a gravely voice growls out "What's going on Robin?".
Robin leads one of the wardens, a half-dragon towards the party. Letting the party ambush and kill him after Lanius does some quick thinking with his tools. However, on the other side of the prison, the Fire Angle snatches up Malika, and threatens to kill her if the party doesn't surrender. Only Robin, Gorb, and Robin are able to stand up to her. Neli is burnt to a crisp from the Angel's magic. Activating a strange energy from Malika. Seeking to capitalize on it, Robin knocks her out, causing Malika to unleash her hidden power. An ancient Djinni emerges from her ring, killing the angel with ease. Robin escapes before the Djinni can try and kill him as well.
The high warden, a Fire Giant, emerges from his office. Enraged that the party would dare break into his prison and interrupt his operations. He uses his warden magic to seal the Djinni back up, and attacks the party. The party is already worn down, and the giant seems to great of a threat to handle on their own. Robin is tossed into a fire pit, and disappears into the pool of magma. Friend is also destroyed in the conflict, causing Lanius to panic and hide from the Giant.
Against the wall and desperate, the party tries to get the Giant Binding Chain around the warden before he kills them all. Magni barely holds out against his Hexblade's attempt to wrangle control from him. Robin returns, claiming he switched body doubles before he fell in. With his help they manage to bind the Giant. Robin asks him questions about the Ancient Fire Djinni's location. With the help of magic forcing him to tell the truth, the giant reveals the Djinni is hidden in the Roaring Desert. Satisfied with his answer, he lets the party handle him while he moves on to the next phase of his plan. They toss him into the magma pit, and follow Robin. Unsure now of what his true intentions are.

Robin used the truth spell on himself to answer questions the party might have.
Neli asked if he was evil, to which he responded "I sure hope so."
Gorb asked if he'll actually help them escape the Fire Planes, to which he responded "That, and much more..."
