Session 15 Report

General Summary

The party started off waiting in line to get into the colosseum. Nadyn expressed worry about being recognized in an area with such a large amount of people. The party decided that a disguise would help, first offering to do makeup on him. He refused, suggesting he shave all of the hair on his head off instead. He tasked Brooks with it, and Brooks obliged. The haircut wasn't pretty, but it did the job.   While waiting in line, Fanna and Brooks sought out pickpocketing targets. The first was a rather sleazy looking man poorly trying to blend in with the crowd. Fanna disguised themselves and walked up to them, distracting the man as Brooks snuck up and stole 10 silver from him. Unsatisfied with their haul, they tried again on a group of Leferinese tourists. After being briefly held up by a language barrier, the two were successful once again, and Brooks stole 5 gold from one of them. They decided to split their rewards 50/50.   Then when they reached the entrance, they were told by security that they had to submit to a bag check and give up their weapons. They were pointed to a building that had lockers to store their items. They went there and dropped off their items, but came back carrying Soup the Hundun. The guards told them that Soup was not allowed inside the building, not budging when the party attempted to pass it off as a service pet without any proper documentation. The party gave up, and Fanna quickly dropped off Soup with some caretakers.   When inside, the party bought their tickets for their friend Laseen's match, The Tigress vs. The Raging Tide. Thien tried to search for The Tigress, only to see nothing--The vendors only sold items for the higher tiers of fighters, and The Tigress was only tier three. The party decided to go to their seats, though were slowed down by Tigers of Nam members partially blocking the tunnel. Thien hastily put makeshift makeup on to avoid being recognized, and the party realized they were camped out waiting for one of the fighters to seemingly make an entrance.   They made their way inside and found seats, though more Tigers of Nam members were seated nearby. After a brief staring match, the announcer got on the fantasy microphone, and introduced the two fighters. The Tigress' opponent, The Raging Tide, was themed after an ocean storm, while The Tigress, as the name suggests, was decked out to look like a tiger.   Though The Raging Tide was the first to pin down The Tigress, The Tigress eventually came out as the triumphant winner. She attempted to do a victory roar, but only made an airy, whistling sound, due to difficulty in mimicking mammal sounds as a lizardfolk. The crowd immediately rushed the battlefield to see her. Fanna and Thien worked together and used up a use of the Shard Ointment to boost Fanna's movement, allowing them to easily run across the audience and jump down to Laseen. A flustered Laseen thanked Fanna for showing up, admitting that she still needed practice with roaring like a tiger like her managers recommended, and signed Fanna's magical qilin plush. After this, they were shouldered aside by the Tigers of Nam members, and then the rest of the crowd.   Back in the lobby, a small group of the Tigers of Nam confronted the party, demanding Fanna give a necklace back they say they stole from one of the captains. Fanna, unfortunately, had no memory of this on their month-long bender after the Shuixiu Fair, and denied ever doing so, not even having the necklace on them. Before the situation could escalate, security guards came in and forcefully pushed the two groups away from each other, yelling at them about how no fighting was allowed in the lobby.   The party retrieved their weapons and Soup once again. During an argument, Fanna snaps at Nadyn over how he cant "solve all of his problems with a rock," pissing off Nadyn and leading him to walk away from the party. Fanna quickly runs after them, trying to make things right, but Nadyn pushes them away, before reluctantly deciding to go back to the party.   Then, a nervous woman walks up to the party and says that "someone" wanted to talk to them. The party immediately was suspicious of them, and told her to tell the "someone" that they weren't going. She grew distressed, and said how she couldn't. Thien asked her to blink twice if she needed help, and after some panic, the woman blinked. Just then, The Tigers walked up to the party and initated combat as the women fled.   The party found that the Tigers were fans of grappling their opponents, granting them advantage on their attacks. They also seemed to have acquired some officially licensed trading cards from the colosseum, utilizing their magical effects. Even so, the party came out triumphant in the end, slaying the gangsters and ending the session.
