Session 017: Downtime on Outpost Zed Report

General Summary

While their ship travelled back to Outpost Zed, Midnight Squad spoke to their new guests.
They learnt from Cedona that the Rune Drive was being studied on an asteroid in the system named, Aurelos. That the Rune Drive being studied would allow the Azlanti Star Empire to travel without the use of the drift & without travelling the space between.
From Ahnexa Sainte-Marie they learnt that she was being interogated for information on the Gorn/Marlai forces, & thinks that the Azlanti was getting ready to attack them.

Ahnje L'Treaux informed Hadiya Najiri about events. She informed Ahnje that she was ordered to bring the drive back to the SD Force. She was told that Hasshachir had some items for them & she would give them some credits to upgrade their new ship.

They spoke to Hasshachir when they arrived at Outpost Zed & he offered them free acess to his facilities until the ship upgrades were completed. In the repair bay they saw an Azlanti mech.
Finding a recreation room & a kitchen, they hacked the computer in the recreation room learning that the asteroid was purchased by Zolan Ulivestra. Cedona asked for a couple of days to meditate on things, & her faulty memory.

An explosion occured as they slept & they woke up finding the robotic arms in the docking bay active. They banded together & fought the machinery. Ahnje went to the control panel & seeing that it was clear asked for someone with more technical expertise to support. Both Fumbles & Rivet came to support her.
Finding a trap on the panel they were able to disable it.

Once they found Hasshachir they asked him what was going on & he told them that their was a malfunction, not to worry their ship wasn't damaged. Then tried to walk away Fumbles pulled his gun on him & told him to start telling the truth.
Hasshachir turned into a Reptoid & shot Fumbles with a gun, once he was defeated they hacked his datapad & learnt that his name was Grasilex. He was hired to kill Midnight Squad, the found records of a deposit to an account for the contract. Also record of a recent transaction of credits to "Third-Salvage", a store on Outpost Zed.
