Session 4 Report

General Summary

The party heads out east from Kane, coming across several burnt villages. After investigating one that was more recently burnt, they follow the tracks to a cliff face on the south side of the mountain. They see the tracks head through a small woodland and make their way through, cautious for traps or ambush. Rike scouts 30 feet ahead and comes to the edge of the woodland, finding a hidden clearing with several goblins and a hobgoblin standing in front of what looks like a rock wall.   Before the rest of the party catches up, Rike throws a smoke stick in front of a few of them and throws a dagger that misses one of the goblins. He then darts forward and engages the two goblins in front of the smokescreen. Soon after, the hobgoblin jumps through the smoke and attacks Rike, injuring him. The rest of the party catches up and joins the fray. After the smoke clears, the rest of the goblins have disappeared. The party proceeds to fight and slay two of the goblins, leaving just the hobgoblin, who asks Grugrat why he would do such a thing to his own kin. Just then, the wall behind them starts lifting up and goblins pour out it.   Rike rushes forward, attacking and ripping the head off of the hobgoblin as the goblins swarm in around him, hitting him relentlessly until he's knocked unconscious. Grugrat tries to throw a bomb and ends up dropping it in the middle of himself, Katerina, and Goodman. Himself and Goodman jump away from it, but Katerina is thrown back against a tree and heavily damaged. Grugrat gets back up and tells them all to run as he charges into the swarm of goblins, igniting all of his bombs. Goodman picks up Katerina and runs with Centurion back through the woods. Grugrat pushes through the goblins up to where Rike is next to door and explodes, bringing a huge chuck of mountainside down on top of the entire area. Goodman, Katerina, and Centurion rush back to Kane.
