Session 12 Report

General Summary

The party, Sergeant Sinn, 3 soldiers, Khigad, and 4 dwarves set off to the northeast to the mountains. They make it to a wooded area southeast of the town of Kane and set up camp for the night, taking watch. Before dawn, Ciquk and 6 other undine come up to the camp and say that they want to come with the squad and help out with the mission. They agree and pack up camp, heading north along the river. They come to the abandoned town of Kane and debate whether to go through the town or go around. After much deliberation, they decide to go through the town. As they get 2/3 of the way through, they spot a goblinoid patrol on another road and rush into a nearby building to hide after one of the soldiers makes a bit of noise. Goodman peaks through a window to view the patrol and sees about 8 of them taking position and hiding. After a few seconds, a hidden hobgoblin peers his head into the same window, right in Goodman's face. The hobgoblin lets out a scream before Goodman yanks him inside the building and begins fighting him. The soldiers hear the sounds of fighting and rush out of another window into the street and start attacking. The undine and dwarves come out of the house and join the fray. Kazrik rushes into the alleyway and blocks the goblins from passing through, chopping through each one as he pushes through. They slowly kill and surround the remaining goblinoids until two are left, where they then surrender. The group try to interrogate them for information. Kazrik kills one of them deemed useless. They push the other for information and get close to nothing. He offers to tell their leader everything if they take him to him. Katerina detects his thoughts and reads that he's trying to get them away from the area and try to escape. She tells the other and they elect to kill him. The hobgoblin makes a run for it and screams out for help but gets tackled by Kazrik, then Goodman swings his axe on him and kills him. The squad decide to get out of there quick before more goblinoids come.
