Episode 6: Five Star Wanted Level Report

General Summary

29-5-15 Mi   Our Party began after waking up in their abandoned house to the sounds of Guards running down the streets in a manhunt for the elven assailant of the four guards last night. Duna Quinn had woken up from a Dream-Communion with The Undying, offering him increased power and a pact change, but his binding cost was to brind ten human souls to the Undying via a ritual. Duna seemed to have accepted, his pact change pending. following tmorning preparation, the party adopted new disguises, Duna appearing like a noble, Ardenn hiding his sash, and Xol shedding his robe to reveal his new Half-Plate armor. new disguises donned, the party began a discreet walk through town to try and make it to Whitemill, the upper class district of Arionced. they did not, however forget to leave a distraction; the abandoned house was set alight by the party and left the guards in the area to have to deal with it for a while, buying time.   Duna began his facade of being a noble (Specifically Billiam Folcey III) with bodyguards by convincing the guards at one of the footbridges to the district to let him cross. They immediately proceeded to every adventurer's first resort for information; the local tavern: The Golden Orrery at which point Duna, disguised as the noble, began demanding the barkeep to give him information. Said Barkeep, Mr. Teague, proceeded to scold Duna, spotting that he was adventurer posing as a noble, but perhaps in a way different than expected. The party got the information they needed however, and proceeded down to Moon Street, the Address of a local Architect.   They met with their architect; Daniel, who proceeded to show them plans of several of the rooms in Folcey Manor, as well as some of the plans for the sewer network, revelaing that there are Maintenance tunnels woven between them. following a short discussion and a rejected request to buy two of Daniel's personal reading books, the party proceeded to the bookstore before deciding on their next target, all while noticing the slowly decreasing manic air of guards.   They Entered the bookstore noticing the respectable range, and the two figures in there. the first was the bookstore owner, Gurney Krazynski, a seemingly Redneck, wizened old man who almost appeared to be a taller replica of the previous Architect. The other was later revealed to be Valerie, who spoke with Xol to reveal the presence of Clan Heavenly within the City.   A short explanation from Xol explaining his reasoning for dumping the entire true story of the party's somewhat graceless entrance into Arionced revealed that he was making sure the lady in question wasn't a member of Clan Murderous   The party proceeded to a Church nearby to Folcey Manor, and was able to make contact with a Heavenly Aspect Atavist Masquerading as a Cleric of Orel, shortly before the cleric offered to take them down to their Clade and meet with one of their leaders to Organize a collaborative mission. once down in the Clade, the party saw Valerie, once again, who had forewarned her clanmates of the party, and shortly after witnessing the dragging of a body, met with Malik. After some small talk and learning of the surveillance methods employed by the Folcey court wizard, Greigor Whyte, they met once again with Gurney Krazynski, who had dropped his old coot act, but not his jarring, redneck, accent. Gurney specified that there wwas a hit out of Greigor, and implied that he wished for a secure route into the castle so his assassins could perform the hit. Duna suggested the option of his group instead performing the hit in one go, and allowing Clan Heavenly to take credit for the kill, while the Army of Two goes on their Heist. after some friendly conversation, Duna pitched the option of Malik joining the team, along with Xol, to assist in all their required tasks in the mansion, while Ardenn gave into his desires and small talked Valerie. due to the works of The Trickster God, Ardenn's pockets filled with spaghetti until they overflowed.   Clan Heavenly, seeing the intentions of the party were at least honest enough to reliably collaborate, allowed the group to use their clade as a temporary safehouse during their intel gathering, offering some nice red meat. at this point the group split up to maintain a low profile; ardenn navigated the sewers in search of a maintenance tunnel hopefully connecting to an emergency exit listed in the manor's catacomb plans. Duna began Carousing for intel, later finding several staff members, and after a nailbitingly awkward game of Tarot found out more useful intel relating to the dynamics of staff within the manor. During this time, Xol assisted Clan heavenly in their front. On the third day, the party teamed up with Valerie to open up and check Ardenn's find of a secret entranceway into the catacombs of Folcey Manor.   their intel solid and their plans set, the party updated Grney and Tegley Snich and made a plan for their Heist, albeit leaving out some key details that would incriminate the atavists to the Thieves guild. They have one week to prepare before the big day, while their two benefactors begin their own diversionary preparations...
