Session 0: To repay a debt
General Summary
Your party made some mistakes in the past and now you have a debt to be repaid. your employer, known to you only by the name of Datti , took one of your members hostage. In return for his freedom you are asked to repay the debt caused by your previous adventure where you managed to destroy a small wagon transporting a load of Sannish. You have been given a choice pay the debt of 21.300 gp or rescue one of Datti's colleagues from a Tel'a'Sei warcamp. Knowing that it would take you ages to collect this amount of gold you decided to take your chances with the latter option. hoping to quickly complete the mission and rescue your companion from the grips of Datti. The party slowly came by while there cart was rattling across the barren tundra. With them in their cage there were a dwarf, elf and gnome. The cage, one of many, is flanked on both sides by a Tel’a’Sei army. Closer to the cages creatures resembling the Tel’a’Sei but twisted with sharp claws, fangs a third eye and a darker skin are walking, looking around with their hungry eyes. Talking to the other captives in their cage resulted in nothing but an angry look from the dwarf. The elf telling them it was hopeless and the gnome only talked to a small oily, black creature calling it his “only friend”. After sun started to set the colony stopped moving and the party and other prisoners were granted some free time to roam, stretch their legs and relieve themselves. The party just stepped out of their cart as the gnome sprinted past them and made for an escape towards the treeline in the direction from where they were traveling. One of the more important Tel’a’Sei, bearing a scar across his left cheek, moved towards the cart were the gnome was held and whistled something towards one of the twisted Tel’a’Sei creatures. The creature dropping on all fours dashed for the gnome, not a few minutes later a piercing shriek sounded from the treeline. The creature returned with the mangled, lifeless body of the gnome and dropped it in front of the Tel’a’Sei with the scar. With another whistle three more creatures joined and feasted on the body of the gnome leaving nothing behind… “Now let that be an example!” he shouted towards the prisoners: “you have time to relieve yourself and stretch, do not try anything like this.” And with that he continued his patrol towards the front of the army.
