The Mystery of the Poisoned Chocolate Report

General Summary

Wargraf returned from his visit to the temple and decides he's going to go meet his daughter's fiance for himself. He get's turned away at the door because the family has retired for the day. He returns home and recieves a letter from the guards he sent to protect olivia, yara, and thrill. There has been a series of murders on the outskirts of silverforge. He heads in that direction only to recieve a summons from the diamond lords, so he turns around and heads there instead. Olivia, Yara, and Thril have been taken up to a secure room in the inn where they wait out the day in nervous tension. Rajan gets bored and hungry so he heads into the forest to do some unsuccessful hunting. Umbra finds a few dead bodies to loot, ending up with a purse full of chocolate, a expensive delicacy in Silverforge. Each peice is worth 10 gp and he ends up with six of them. He doesn't like chocolate himself, but he decides it's good for trading at least. The dwarves wouldn't go for it, but the humans are more suceptible to sweets and he is able to con a new boomerang out of the rat-faced man. He ends up wandering around the market stalls for a little while longer and spys a interesting shop. Assassin's Vestments. He and the owner have a bit of an argument when he gets told to leave cus he's not good enough. As he turns to go some random bystander drops dead. Umbra decides to use this to his advantage and claims to have done it himself. He's so convincing the shopkeep believes him and gives him free stuff, unfortunately the guards believe him too. He gets arrested and taken to deepforge for murdering multiple dwarves, humans and a dwarven Lord. Back in the room the group is told they are free to leave that the culprit has been caught. When described they all agree that the man that was arrested sounds like their traveling companion. But they also agree that he's not smart enough to pull off something of this scale on his own. He must have an accomplice...or maybe he's the accomplice? And Rajahn is the real villian here. And he's missing.
