Abandon All Hope, Ye Who Enter Here Report

General Summary

As we return to the party, still working on what their next step should be, they return to the city of Loudwater. The city, now having recovered from the sudden appearance of demons, is in the midst of taking down the decorations from the ruined festival.   It was on this day that three individuals arrived at the city. The first being, Shrike. A rogue with a mysterious air that was drawn here by her dreams. Going to the Rivet and Anvil to question them about someone that she had seen in her dreams, giving a description of Jade Moon. The seemingly fateful meeting intrigues the rogue to join the tall woman in meeting with the rest of the party.   At the All Faith's Altar, a paladin arrives and is greeted by Tahlula. The pair are quite friendly with each other, as the paladin is ready to face the rumors of demons with shield in hand.    And at the Rising Moon Market, the Goliath Barbarian, Butlit, has a run in with the Gnome Artificer. the pair arguing some over the decomposing bodies of the demons before she is pointed in the direction of the group so that she can find a means of taming one of these foul creatures.   The newly formed group begins their journey back to the Demon's Gate. And waiting for the waters to rise once again in order to step through to the source of the portal. Their bodies feeling like they have been shredded to ribbons as they are thrown back and forth in a violently thrashing of bends and turns that draws them continuously forwards until they are suddenly out. Stepping onto the crusted and ashen soil of Avernus as if they had simply stepped through a doorway.   With little time to recover, they meet a mountain of a man. Wearing armor that almost seems fused into his skin and wielding a massive greatsword. The warrior is given little time to question the party before they are set upon by a group of demons and their Balor Commander.   "You deal with them. The big one is mine," the man said as he lunged at the massive demon. Leaving the group to fend for themselves among the smaller demons that were trying to rend the party into bloody bits. With well placed shots and strong hands, the party was able to kill the demons that were set upon them as the warrior ripped the head from the Balor he had defeated.   The warrior introduced himself as Droom Graves, a warrior for Zariel. Droom suggested that they should be speak with Zariel, who appreciates strong warriors. Perhaps there is information that the party can gain from this Devil of Avernus. Or maybe it's another trap. Who knows when you are travelling in the layers of the Abyss.
