The Bloodmoot - Part 2 Report

General Summary

The third day of the BloodMoot begins with The Bear-Downers squaring off against The BEAR Team. Baelok , being a bit annoyed that they also have the word "BEAR" in their name proposes a wager. If The Bear-Downers win then the BEAR Team forfeits their use of the word "Bear" in their name. Alternately, if The Bear-Downers lose the match then they must do the same. Both sides, feeling confidant, agree to the wager.
  The fight begins with the Berserkers facing off against Bronan the Wildbearian. Ralornan changes into a giant Ape as Skar, Zath Sev and Baelok maneuver into positions around the pit. Eventually the mighty thews of Bronan the Wildbearian give way as the strikes from the berserkers cut him down. Not to be outdone The Bear-Downers cut down The BEAR Team one by one until none are left standing. A great win by The Bear-Downers.
  After a short break The Bear-Downers climb into the pit for another combat in the BloodMoot. As both sides prepare to engage each other the lights go out. When The Bear-Downers open their eyes they can see a large, broken skull and a ring of ruined pillars surrounding them. Looking around there are no stars in the sky and pitch black darkness beyond what little light the torches provide. In the distance The Bear-Downers make out low rhythmic chanting. "From the depths...RISE!" is what they hear. The ground begins to tremble and shake.

The Bear-Downers prepare themselves for an attack as a creature erupts from the ground beneath. The creature is covered in black spikes with an eyeless head which swings from side to side. Darkness seeps from its strange, eel-like hide, spreading like ink in water. The Bear-Downers avoid the darkness as much as possible while attacking the beast. The ground begins rumbling again and another one of the creatures surfaces. Just as The Bear-Downers are formulating a plan the chanting rises to a crescendo and bursting from beneath their feet giant black tentacles begin flailing around wildly. The tentacles shake the ground every time they slap down. The burrowing beasts seem to be as surprised by these tentacles as The Bear-Downers. What will The Bear-Downers do to survive?
