Mondragon Rising

Welcome to Rhidde. Humanity has long since thrown off the shackles of the Earth-based MegaCorps. In their place, the people have chosen their own governments. In the center of the Sphere, resides the powerful Lunar Empire. Within the periphery, lie her competitors. Nestled between the great powers of humanity, single systems carve out their existence. Rhidde is no exception.   Unable to terraform the planets of Rhidde, humanity chose to construct their homes in the void. Rhiddeans ply their trades between thousands of artificial habitats. The system itself is packed to the brim with raw resources. Massive gas giants supply the settlements with fuel and water. The asteroid belt, one of the largest within the Sphere, contains more than enough resources for Rhidde to thrive. Even here, though, humanity lives in conflict.   When the MegaCorps were overthrown in the Matriarch War, a power vacuum remained. Some systems formed governments ranging from anarchy to absolute dictatorships. Rhidde was left at the mercy of powerful traders. These individuals went on to form the first members of the Rhidde Plutocracy. Known collectively as the Merchant Houses, these families have remained in overt and covert conflict since their inception.   You find yourselves at the employ of Merchant House Mondragon. Mondragon is younger, and as such less powerful, than most houses. At its helm sits the young scion of the family, Petra Mondragon. She intends to bring increased wealth and power to her House. Through trade, piracy, and outright conflict with the other Merchant Houses, you will make her intent known.   House Mondragon has need of soldiers, traders, diplomats, spies, technicians, doctors, and pilots. Who are you? How will you further the interests of House Mondragon? What mark will you leave on the world?
