I have strong reason to believe that the Eversand Emperor (Niesko) will soon turn his forces on the city, and when he does there will be no survivors.
I believe it would be in both of our interests if you were to, in time, rally a force to deal with the Emporer directly. But there is no rush - he's been invading for over 1000 years, so another decade or so won't make much difference.
