Session 3: Lost and Found

General Summary

After a good night's rest and a hearty Westgauic breakfast with eggs prepared by Moritz Reichenfeld at the request of Gamrumm, the party sets off into the Dunkeforst once more in search for Canon Berthoman of Marr's locket. Using the mysterious disappearance of a second rider as a clue, they make their way north of the road towards the Hermitage of St. Lorea-in-the-woods, which leads them through a patch of forest where the colourful and wild foliage betrays fey influence. On their way to the hermitage, they run into an unusual sight for the parts in the form of the scholarly nerd from Cadaemar, Angus Wittfaste and his modron research assistant Oculet. Angus has seen a few things and is intrigued enough by the party's story to tag along to the hermitage, where they are attacked by a group of mysterious strangers wearing the same red robes as the mysterious figures seen. Dispatching these assailants, the party rests and are accosted by a denizen of the woods, a smelly and drunk satyr known as Rallos the Cleanly. He turns out to have the locket which turns out to contain a picture of a woman, which he has fallen madly in love with, and when it becomes apparent that the party is looking to take it away from him, he tricks the party by offering them wine laced with sleeping draught, fleeing via a fey circle in the hermitage's main chamber into the Ever-Created. Chasing after him, the party eventually re-emerges back into the Material Realm amidst a range of tall mountains, suggesting they are in a different location entirely. Catching up with Rallos, Odalys wins the locket back from him in a rock-off. Now a new problem presents itself: how to figure out where they are, and get back to Obforst and Canon Berthoman?
