Frontier Session 36
General Summary
Session 36: 11-01-2026
They speak with Lavender about how to handle the situation with Zehir and tell her to hold the perimeter around the temple. Don't let anybody in and nobody out.
Hiron also recalls that the Yuan-Ti Paladin mentioned something about taking the people of the South before the settlers arrived in Brightwater. Also that Nightblood called itself a god-killing blade.
After the talk with Lavender the party went to check with the sailors about recent events. They find out that The Empire of Mori has captured the city of Selvardis, killed one of the royal dragons and captured the princess. Most of the fleet has sailed into the Kingdom and is tied up in the war effort but a small fleet has been seen set aside and idle last they heard.
In the distance they see a man pop up above the tents on the other side of the tavern. A Goliath is seen moving out of the tents and people keep their distance from him. They manage to subdue him after a short fight and find out the man that was attack was a smuggler running an illegal drug export to the Empire. They bring the Goliath to the townhall and question him about the drugs. He introduces himself as Quints, an outcast of the Hoolio crime Family who is pressured into a mission to kill some drug dealers who went against the Don. Suicu remembers from the his days in the Rookery that crime families exist, gangs successful enough to buy their way out of poverty and the squalor of the slums.
They track down the dealers to the west and find an abandoned homestead. Approaching the gate they are stopped by some gate guards--Giff, large Hippo like creatures--who ask them what they are doing here and when Quints tells them what they are doing is against Don Hoolio's orders one goes for his weapon. However, he suddenly turns his weapon on his partner and shoots him. Confused the other guard starts yelling at the other and in the distance they see Owlin's approaching with rifles at the ready. Quints using his Psionic abilities causes confusion and chaos where one of the guards is killed and the boss Teylor Hardbeak is captured.
In the compound they find Diabolin--a green powder that can be snorted to create a high and is very addictive--and the means of producing the powder. They find gold and weapons and documents. In the documents they find orders and transactions as well as some letters. They find out that Don Hoolio himself ordered the setup of the initial drug trade but the Hardbeaks managed to snatch it away from them. It seems both families have been dealing Diabolin against the wishes of the Elder Council and unknown to their soldiers and capo's.
Afterwards they contact Alexandr and receive a message that they should travel down south along the coast and he will contact them when he's able to. They gather resources for the expedition and load the Ravager on the Sky Fortress. Heading south they stop at the Crystal Palace to investigate the Empire of the Sun in the library. They find out that it seems like an ancient Empire which survived the Scarring somehow. Part of a Diarchy, its counterpart is the Empire of the Moon located on the coast in a massive forest. They also find a map.
Burt Blastimoff, the surviving guard decides to join the party as a hireling.
