Session 3: Where are we now? Report

General Summary

The party has arrived on the Isle Of Mystrium and find themselves in the center of the Village of Libraries. One of the dwarves who accompanied the party is dead and they do not waste time distracting his friend so that Azarath can loot his corpse for a ruby and his 69 gold pieces. The dwarf leaves to care for his friend's corpse and the party hears someone nearby yelling. "Thief, someone stop him! Thief! he stole a book!"   A young man is running through the crowd with a book under his arm. The party gives chase and discovers the boy is faster than he appears. Mattyito and N4 turn into various creatures. The former turned into a hellhound using his cloak and the later turned into a cheetah... a strange creature for these parts.   Azarath performs a flip over some students, Mattyito also does a flip which is interesting to see in a hellhound body. N4 runs into a door that opens before him and Tenerok, unfortunately, lags behind everyone. As the party gets closer, Azarath casts grease in front of the boy who was not expecting it. He slips and goes flying through the air and into a barrel. Upon taking him out of the barrel the party begins to interrogate him about why he stole the book.   The Island Sword Captain, Oleedra, approaches the party, impressed by their abilities. She is also curious why the boy was stealing and he reveals he needed the book to sell in order to recover his mother from slavers. Oldeedra asks fro help with these slavers and in return, Mattyito wants information about Tower of Creations and the Disciples of Crerare: The Fen. She seems to scoff at the idea of secret organizations on the island but if the party helps defeat the Slavers she can look into them.   Before heading to deal with the Slavers, the party decides that they should find some magical items for their newest party member. They decide to stop at Gallen's Magical Gizmo's and Gadgets where they are greeted by a welcome sign that reads "Please remove shoes and coats". Then a magical mouth proceeds to welcome them into the store. Gallen is a Hodrim woman who sits in a chair and blows bubbles from a long pipe which burst into a variety of smells and sounds.   After buying what they wanted the party proceeds to the east away from the village. In a forest, they find a stone wall that seems to be old and weathered but the singular building within seems to be new construction. Towering over 8 feet tall, they could see there is plenty of light within the camp. The sounds of Men moving about is clear. A red Archway of wood appears to be the only entrance but you can see the wall has fallen into disrepair and trees hang over it.   Azarath stealth masterfully and sees there are 10 veterans and a strange elf with reddish skin and pure white eyes inside. There is also a deep hole that he could not see in. While trying to make a plan the party hears a guard say he is going to take a leak. Azarath sneaks up on the guard and while he is a master at sneaking, the man's fortunate senses feel him coming. The guard turns, almost peeing on Azarath, and raises the alarm.   A battle ensues, Tenerok summons an Angelic spirit to aid, N4 uses Flaming Sphere with accuracy, Mattyito's cannon and arrows cause devastation. Azarath hides and stabs as he usually does and managed to kill the strange elf. Lightning and poisonous gas fill the area but the party manages to survive. Now they have this slaver camp in front of them.   Night of the 15th Day of the Orange Moon.
