Session 2: Sloop Group - Bard's Gate Shenanigans

General Summary

  After blowing all the gold last week our brave leader Golden Member decided he needed cash quickly. Therefore, he and his faithful henchman, Prik the Goblin headed to the richest area of Bards Gate…..
  After failing to break into a large house in a gated area and being waylaid by the extremely well-paid and well-trained guards in that affluent area, Prik broke into a smaller house whilst Golden Member caused a distraction….
  Prik explored the house but hit a creaky step on the way upstairs disturbing the residents of the house, who were upstairs at the time….
  The guards were called and after he knocked out the lady of the house in a panic, Prik made his way quickly out of a bedroom window and onto the roof. He was soon surrounded by the guards below, including two with heavy crossbows…
 
  He attempted to climb down the chimney but was smoked out by the guard captain and once again, stranded on the roof. Meanwhile, Golden Member used his skills in trickery to disappear into the garden of another house ignoring the sad, pitiful cries of his faithful henchman Prik as they echoed from the house rooftop!
  Prik refused to come down so the crossbow guards opened fire. Prik managed to jump from the roof to a high wall belonging to the next door house under a hail of bolts but was spotted as he made his escape from Upper Hill….
  Golden Member took the opportunity caused by this diversion to slip away from the scene through a back street whilst disguised as a crossbowman and without any twinge of conscience about Prik whatsoever…
  Prik dashed off along Geddes Row away from the hill, it looked like he would make his escape but fate dealt him a cruel hand and a lone crossbowman managed to pick him off just as he made it to the canal. Prik slipped away into oblivion as the guards approached and his beloved master made good his escape….
  Golden Member now lays low somewhere in the city and may his dreams be haunted by the mournful wailing of Prik from the rooftop forever more. Will we ever see the 'evil Gnome' again? Will justice be done? Will the other party members avenge Prik? Does anyone care?
