The Infiltration of the Lull

General Summary

The party, after receiving instruction from several strange henchmen of Syzygy traveled to the Sanctuary of the Lull. In Leif Neils'scase, he received instruction directly from Syzygy. After a slew of battles and a rampage which ended up in imprisonment on Vaerd Sark's part, the party entered the final room cautiously, only for the door to fling wide open once opened at all. The battle began against the creature called the Tonguebound, according to Syzygy. After a fierce battle where several characters died, the Tonguebound was left invisible with its last ally dying. Seeing Leif with the Gauntlet of Disruption, it charged, quickly felling and killing the Rogue. As Esteem attempted to heal his fallen comrade, his spell fizzled, possibly to a Counterspell. The Tonguebound's invisibility soon wore off as he continued to desecrate Leif's body. As it appeared though, so did Syzygy, stabbing his shortsword through the Tonguebound's chest twice. With a blood-spitting groan, it toppled to the ground beside its victim. Esteem rushed over and pulled out a scroll, reciting a sacred prayer. The scroll dissolved, and the Kobold stirred, his consciousness returned to him. After freeing Vaerd from her prison, her name failing to work with the mirror as it should, the party accounted what goods were in the base. They then returned to the Undernetwork base at Go'Urbel, where they currently reside.
