Pyruf 655 ED, Part III

General Summary

This session covered the latter half of Ambriel, Pyruf 29th to the end of Seran, the 30th, 655 ED. ????????? ????????? spent her time inscribing spells into her spellbook and training her familiar. Leif Neils continued training with his enforcer crossbow, and ??? trained for the next morning's raid.

Late in the morning of the 30th, the three party members were teleported to Haladori and met up with the Dwarven raiding party. They set out and quickly deployed a small wooden fortress edged with palisades. Almost immediately, the structure was pelted by arrows and bolts, and Eskjarian knights and archers quickly took to their stations. The Dwarven squadrons were steadily advancing on the bandit camps, with an estimated total of foes nearing 300. Only moments later, however, firebolts and magic missiles fired from the nearby Qadai Heath (Dwarvish, Knadaj Hejaþ) jungle, decimating many of the Eskjarian defenses. The party took action, Leif sneaking under the guise of Invisibility and Vaerd charging as a Giant Ape also under Invisibility. There they found strangely masked mages, firing spells and such left and right. Leif killed one of these masked men, and he fell, almost screaming. When Leif looked upon his victim, only ashes remained. Leif seemed to go into a frenzy, along with Vaerd's stupefied rage. They hunted down and killed all but one of these mages. The rest of the Dwarven forces were able to take the bandit camps with the help of Crawford, who now calls herself Madame MacDonald.

The party returned to Galtebjerg after gathering their respective rewards. Mme. MacDonald and Leif each received a message over their Stones of Communication from Syzygy detailing a bounty worth between 12,000 and 13,000 Lospiric gold from Dunpiri for a young Drow man named Valas Hroigensel. The party realized that the man they met just recently must be this Valas, and promptly searched for him. However, there was news that he had simply disappeared earlier that day.

The session ended as the party laid to sleep on the night of Seran, Pyruf 30th.
