Tarhe, pre-God Cycle   Falma (noun)- cresting wave   Falmalinnar- “on breaking waves” or “on the foaming waves”, a title created by the eladrin High-Iaurist, Vaya Gaear alongside the goddess Leira to honor and imbue the most elite warriors with power and glory in their fight against the Far Realm. The bestowment of the name itself grants the powers to those valiant enough to earn it.   In the beginning, there were ten. Aengrist, the all-father who willed the planets and all mortals into existence. Hextor, the stormlord who stirred the seas we sprung from with his very fists. Pelor, the dawnfather who turned the eternal night. Ehlonna, the wildmother, who used Pelor’s gift to grow the land. Altua, the lawbearer, who gave us civilization and took us in as her own. Hieroneous, the golden king who first taught us humility, order and goodness. Leira, the daughter of chaos who gave us the power of resistance against his order and thereby balance. Mith, the parchment matron who gave us the power of speech and stories. Uana, the all-knower, who gives us knowledge, freely; and Narus, the raven queen, who presides over our final moments and brings us peace. But before them, there was just the far realm: creatures and things more and far older than gods stirred there, they were manipulative and vile. They created this place- the material plane and the planes that surround it. They created the things that we call gods who thereby created us. These Old Things treated the gods and their children like play toys and our gods looked at their children's despair at the hands of these Old Things and felt anguish.   You are not a god, but you are no child, either. You are something in-between, born from the same hands that forged the young gods, the extended pantheon is being born around you and amassing strength. Your kind stands with their godkin as they turn on their creators, oft-becoming champions- or traitors- in the long and brutal war against the denizens of the far realm. You are innately connected to the young plane system, as one of the very first to ever walk them, having witnessed their birth, you now serve as one of their defenders. You are a Falmalinnar, protector of the realm, and you find yourself amidst a lull in the war.
