I have no mouth, and I'm trying to be positive about it

I have no mouth, and I'm trying to be positive about it. I used to have one, with a tongue, teeth, gums— all standard issue— but I lost it a few months back. My smooth-talker fell behind the couch, after I mouthed it off for stubbing my toe— and was never heard from again.

The cat probably got it, tongue and all. I don't blame her though, the dry kibble I feed her isn't exactly luxury.

It took me a while to get used to life without a mouth. I have to rely on my legs to run now, and I chew on thoughts instead of food.

On the bright side, nothing leaves a bad taste in my mouth, and I can't put my foot in it anymore. I don't even remember the last time I had to kiss up to my boss!

It's given me a unique perspective on life, and that— well, it doesn't put a smile on my face, but it can't hang a frown there, either.

You always have such a creative way with words. I do hope your mouth returns soon, though. Sending hugs. <3
