I stared at Fritz for a second, they had suddenly put on a weird face. I gave him a questioning look, and they used Message.

        ~Mom is outside watching~

I  stopped a moment. Fritz had warned me that she was in town, but I didn't think I'd have to talk to her this soon, though I was hoping to not do so at all.

I sighed and turned to leave through the wall, and Frirz sent me another Message.

        ~Please don't so anything rash~

I stopped a moment and looked back at them and simply said, ok. I didn't want things to get complicated either, but I could already feel animosity welling up inside me, alongside everything else.

I stepped through the wall of the small shed-like home and walked over to the trees. Before I could even get to the treeline however, Clarice nearly jumped out of the trees. She seemed eager about them meeting up again.

"Hey Bara! Heard you'd be in town soon, and I wanted to try to catch up a bit."

I sighed and stared down at her. "What are you here for though." It took some effort to keep my voice steady and low

She took just a moment before answering my question. "Oh, well I was just passing through, and I met Fritz just outside of this town. I got to talk to him a good bit. It's nice to actually see him again. Glad I found him."

I scoffed immediately after she finished. "You could've found them at any moment, it wouldnt have been hard, especially for you."

She stayed silent for a moment, somehow surprised at how I answered. "Well, I've been pretty busy and havent been able to do anything lik-"

"For three centuries?! That's a poor excuse to not see them in all this time."

"I know it wasnt the best thing to do at all, but I spoke to him about it, I apologized for leaving him and that I want to try to do more as an actual mother for him."

I recollected myself and sighed. "Great, they can make their own decisions, and if they want to take the time to include you in their life, they may. I'm leaving though." I turned and started walking into the woods

Clarice hurriedly followed behind. "I got to talking to Fritz and it's been nice. I was just wondering if maybe we could start talking more aswell. I missed you."

I stopped in tracks just on the edge of the treeline and quickly turned. "Then why leave in the first place!" I was yelling now, I couldnt stay quiet anymore. "You left, you showed pretty early on that you wanted nothing to do with them!"

She took a single step back, caught off guard by the sudden shift in tone. "I didnt want to leave."

"And yet it was a choice you made! You left with no word, warning, or discussion!"

"I thought that you two would be better off without me, I didnt think I could be a good parent let alone raise him right."

I scoffed again at her new excuse. "And I was! I am a being of destruction that simply changed there ways! I wasn't meant to be a father, or raise a child of any kind! And even more you didnt just leave them behind, you left me aswell!"

She stared a moment stunned that I pointed that out, as if she never considered that she did so.

"You left both, me and Fritz! I somehow stayed strong enough to care for us both, despite the fact for the first time in my existence, I decided to give someone other than myself, trust, and was then betrayed! You were the only person that I had ever had feelings for that weren't based on destruction or power."

My voice wavered just a bit and I quieted as I continued speaking. "You were the only person that didn't speak to me in fear, or plotted something against me, or expected something in return from me." I paused a moment as I tried to keep my composure. "I loved you. And you left. I wont give you the opportunity to give me the same pain again." Before she could answer or reply, I turned into the woods and walked away.

I walked a maybe a single minute into the woods just trying to recollect myself, then I heard Clarice approach from behind.

"Bara, please talk to me about this, I'm sorry."

I paused a moment. I couldnt turn around, I couldn't look at her anymore. If I did, might actually stay and talk. "I was sorry too."

        "Bara, please-"
But before she could finish, I just stepped into the nearest tree and dissapeared.
