This night, more than any other was freezing. Malakos felt the gods pulling his soul away as he began to lose all feeling in his body. As he began to accept his fate, he felt something pull him into a warm embrace. Still shivering, he slowly looked up to lock eyes with who he thought was an angel. "Shhh, it'll be ok" the voice whispered, "Just come with me". Malakos then began to feel his body being pulled from the ground and carried away, however, he felt a strange sense of safety from this newfound protector and began to drift off to sleep. As he awoke, he found himself sitting in a small home wrapped in a blanket. "Don't worry, you're safe here", Malakos looked across the room and saw a figure hunched over in a chair, "I hope you don't mind, I need to let them stretch out". As Malakos began to look closer, the man was shirtless and had beautiful white wings stretching out from his back. "Wh...Who are you...?"

"Kymir, and you are?"

"M...Malakos"

"It's been a while since I've had any visitors, can I get you something to drink?"

"Some tea maybe?"

"Of course, I'll be right back," As Kymir stood from his chair, his wings unfurled to their full and Malakos couldn't do anything but stop and stare. The candlelight glinted off of his face as he flashed a small grin, "Hey, hasn't anyone ever told you it's rude to stare?" Kymir chuckled.

"NO, it, it... it's nothing like that" Malakos began to blush, "it's just I..."

"It's ok I'm just playing with you", Kymir handed Malakos the mug but it began to spill as he shivered, "Here, you've been out for a while let me help," Kymir wrapped his hands around Malakos's and steadied the tea,

"I um... I'm fine I got it" Malakos suddenly pulled away spilling tea all over Kymir. "Oh, my gods I'm so sorry I'm such an idiot I didn't mean to I just I'm the worst guest and..."

"Shhhh, it's just a little spilled tea, I'll be alright, I've seen a lot worse in my time," Kymir smiled, beginning to wipe himself down, "I'll make you another cup".

"Thank you"

"Oh it's no problem at all"

"No, thank you for everything you've done today, you saved my life, I promise I will do anything to make it up to you"

"Anything?" Kymir grinned

"Anything"

Kymir approached Malakos and ran his hand up to his arm, Malakos's deep purple skin turned a bright red and he began to close his eyes and lean forward. Kymir leaned into his ear and whispered, "How about you get some rest and feel better than", he kissed him on the forehead and began to walk away leaving Malakos staring blankly, "and hey Malakos?"

"Yeah?"

"You're staring again" he chuckled

Malakos immediately looked down and covered his entire face.

Kymir laughed, "Don't worry, I don't mind... I'll see you in the morning"
