Chapter 1 - The Order of Ancients

A vast desolate area filled with frivolous darkness stood still. In the distance white dots glimmering in the dullness gave what little they could to show light. With no sign of life suddenly voices booming like thunder came out from the distance…

“Let us create a galaxy of wonders to fill the void!” Exclaimed Loesis. “Let the galaxy be filled with planets that bring great abundance of life.”

“Life will I bring to these planets.” Vazias said with joy.

“Death will I cast upon the face of the darkness so that life will be a joy while the time is there. May it also be the price to pay before one reaches Ziolara or Kogarus.” Raren stated with confidence.

“I may bring the light that shines in the distance to shed its radiance over everything it touches.” Phyien said with glimmer in his voice.

In that instance a swirling light started to fill the vast forgotten void. Heat filled the area and brought forth several balls of rock and fire.

Nyses said with a quiet gentle yet booming voice... “I will paint the planets with my beautiful work of arts. That the ground may flourish with plants and the planets may set a foothold for life to belong.”

“With no place to hide from the scoarching heat of the hours, I will bring darkness from the vastness. This darkness will shed its emptiness for half the hours and light may shine the other half. With this light may it shine and bring forth shadows to hide the faces of life from the searing heat during the light hours. Thulsin said with sternness.

After Thulsin finished speaking the planets were painted each unique in their own way. Together they named this galaxy Hyperion which means ‘The High One’. They then went down to one of the planets and made it their home. Naming the planet Cuturus which meant ‘The Secret Place’, they built a massive temple naming it the Sameakaya (Sa-Mya-Kye-Yah) which meant ‘the sacred place’.

Raren got selfish and desired the power that each of the other ancients held. He went to a nearby cave where he then formed a massive creature black and grey in color and filled with scales that glimmered in the light. Its eyes showed glistening crimson. The creature was dragon-like but slithered on its belly like a snake. It breathed fire as hot as the stars and could consume anything it touched in seconds. After he was done forming his masterpiece he named it the Skudra. He started plotting his wrathful plan to capture the other ancients power. Raren went from the cave and entered the Sameakaya temple. The rest of the ancients were holding a meeting on a civil disagreement that was forming on the planet Velveron.

“Raren where have you been your presence has been missed for time that you were gone!” Exclaimed Loesis.

“I have been exploring the caves sorry for my lateness.” Raren stated.

“Come now join us we need your input on a civil disagreement that has started on Velveron.” Loesis said.

“Well if I can be honest I think wars need to happen to form rulers of the different planets which should bring order after chaos.” Raren explained.

The Ancients sat looking very confused and bafled at the words he just spoke.

Loesis spoke up in the silence and said… “I agree that sometimes wars bring unity and peace but should not we keep our galaxy free from troubles such as that? Would not you think that we should strive to bring life and bring life more abundantly rather then let them destroy and twist it?”

Raren returned the question saying… “Their troubles do not concern us. Let their troubles be dealt with the way they feel pleased to. May their trials be dealt with that but of fire and bloodshed. Or may they be solved with soft clouds of peaceful songs. For have we not prepared a place for those who are good and those who are evil? Ziolara and Kogarus?”

“I agree that wars will happen and we should not control them like puppets but I do believe that we ought to set a system of laws so that we may be able to govern good and evil creatures. However, it troubles me that you have an exceeding want for bloodshed. Do you want all to be sent to Kogarus after death?” Vazias questioned.

“Oh the fire how hot it burns! The pain is pleasant as the waves of molten rock cover the ground scoarching all and anything it touches. Oh what a party it must be! There is nothing better than to experience that place!” Exclaimed Raren.

“What appears to be wrong with you Raren? Your words are cutting like a sharp sword. We created this galaxy to be in harmony with each other not willing that any be cast into Kogarus after death. Kogarus is meant to be the place for the worst of the worst. How is it that you consider the melting heat and searing pain to be good. I reckon that there will be no partying only mourning.” Vazias said whilst descretely motioning to the temple guards to enter.

“There is nothing wrong with me old friend! Are you going to cut me down? Throw me away? Just because I said a couple troubling words!” Raren exclaimed. “Imagine if each of us had the power of each other. The things we each could create! We could create our own galaxies. Our own rules!…”

Timas intervened saying… “Silence!! Your tension is growing beyond the stars. Your thirst for more is imminent. The power of each of us can only be combined by removing all but one ancient and piecing together the oracle staff. No ancient can wield the vast power of all six including themselves. The consequences would be catastrophic for the one who is not able to hold the staff! Take head to this warning Raren for how great your separation will be if you continue to breach the order of our galaxy!”

Raren responded saying… “Let your warning be in vain for I will find out myself what the consequences of all power will be!”

In that instance Raren got up from his seat and pulled a sword of fire from the air and leaped towards Timas. Nyses lifted the ground up and shielded Raren’s sword from hitting Timas. Raren created bones and formed creatures with them. However, Vazias cut off life from being filled in them. The bones then crumbled to the ground.

The temple guards continued to move in and they surrounded Raren. Raren let out a battle cry and rumbling like thunder could be heard in the distance. It grew louder and louder quickly. The temple began to shake violently and the skudra broke through the ground of the temple. The guards were instantly dismantled by the shear force of the creature however, since they were formed from the ground they quickly reassembled themselves and stood back strong and tall.

The skudra began blazing the area with his excruciating fire. Thulsin was immediately swallowed by the flames and a piece of the oracle staff dropped to the ground. His body lay lifeless on the ground burnt and dismayed. Raren ran over and picked the piece up and connected it with his piece. A swirling light grew bright and he was filled with Thulsins power. A vast darkness came over the temple. The room grew pitch black. The only light to be seen were the fires lit on the walls.

The skudra proceeded to wreck havoc on the temple. The temple guards started attacking the beast and began to weaken it. Phyien created a blinding flash of light that stunned the skudra. Meanwhile Loesis created a sparkling crimson dust and thrusted it towards the creature.

The skudra inhaled this dust and silence filled the air as the creature became cold as ice and fell dormant. Raren went over to lay hands on the creature. The guards then picked up massive boulders and threw them at him. The boulders crushed Raren to the point were he was still alive but could not move. Loesis walked over to him and stared in his helpless eyes.

“Have you not done enough? Has your anger not yet been resolved?” Loesis questioned with a stern voice.

Loesis took hold of Raren and binded him with a material he could not break free from. He motioned for the guards to lift the boulders and free Raren. Loesis then took Raren to the center circular judgement room.

“Raren your actions have called for fierce judgement upon you. You have slain Thulsin in anger and have sent his soul to Ziolara. Therefore may your destiny be opposite of his in its entirety. We have concluded that your powers that you now hold are still needed for our galaxy to survive but you are not worthy to stay here with us and reign in the same manner.

Therefore by the laws set forth you are to be casted away to Kogarus, where you will be binded there never to leave lest you be manifested. Oh how the pain will be upon you though as you stand there under constant torment.” Timas sadly said.

The ancients started a ritual which would bind Raren to the planet Kogarus. Timas lifted him off the ground and brought him to the portal room where he then pushed him through.

Meanwhile on a planet named Velveron the civil disagreement grew vast.
