This book is the culmination of centuries of hard work, trial and error, and passion. When my journey with celestials had just started, I was only a couple hundred years old and had been tasked with keeping an eye on my mother’s prized celestial. I never had any interest in the beast before then, I thought it spoiled and loud, but that short month with it taught me that under it’s mortal exterior was an intelligent and valuable creature. It wasn’t long after that I began to devote myself to their study and keeping.

The first people I must thank for putting this book together are my wives, Morn and Elyncia. Both were learned women whose time at the Imperial Academy granted me access to untold resources and academic support I might had otherwise never known.

Captain Waileth granted me advice on writing, which was a wondrous surprise from such an esteemed soldier.

Count Citron was the one who first suggest I write this book, after I had shared my advice with him concerning a breeding contract. I am forever grateful to him for this opportunity he inspired.

Of course, I am grateful to my late mother, who had taught me about beautiful things through a stern hand and a cold tongue. With her I also thank the celestials who served as a constant inspiration. They never fail to surprise me, even after centuries of raising them.

Finally, I am grateful for my nursemaid, whose tender care allowed me to work without worry on this book. I could ask for no better nursemaid.
