Chapter Ten

The group arrives in a flowery meadow, filled with spring grass and they look around in awe.

“I haven’t seen anything so beautiful in at least ten years.” Teemu announces and Trouse nods.

“They must have found a cure.”

They walk about the green, flourishing land, taking in all the sights and sounds until they arrive at a hall.

The hall is made from young trees that have entwined together, blossoms covering their branches with no holes in the wall of blossoms anywhere except for the entrance. Thee gently leads the others to the front of the ivy-covered entrance and they prepare to enter.

They are stopped by an elf. He is wearing dirty, stained, torn clothes. He is rather fat with pointy ears and a nervous, shifty attitude. His hair is black and curly. The elf’s face is very childish-looking and he has the classic look of elvish youth about him.

“Y-You cannot come in here!” He shouts as he pushes Thee away from the entrance and within seconds, the elf is flat on his back with Gole on top of him.

“We go wherever we want to, elf.” She snarls, inches from the elf’s face and he faints.

“They will not be happy that you have attacked their guard.” Gutu notes solemnly.

“I agree with Gutu. I doubt they will give us a warm welcome now.” Trouse says and Gutu frowns thoughtfully,

“I know they have banished you all, but perhaps we could go to the alterna for help. I’m sure they would be open to us if they’re in as great of need as everyone else.” He suggests and Trouse’s eyes widen.

“No, no, no. They banished us from ever returning last time we were there.”

“That’s too bad. That means our entrance will be more difficult.” Gole says seriously and Trouse groans.
