Adamantine Battlement Shield

Armor (Shield)

Legendary Requires Attunement

While you are holding and attuned to this shield, you have a +3 bonus to your AC. This bonus is in addition to the shield’s normal bonus to AC. When you are holding the shield and spend an Action to speak its command word, it transforms into a solid, 1-foot-thick wall, up to a 20-foot-by-10-foot profile. The wall is made of masonry with arrow slits in the middle of each 5-foot length. A creature looking through an arrow slit is considered to have total cover and cannot be targeted, however it does not block effects that spread around corners, such as a fireball spell. There is a crenellated battlement fixed to the wall at a height of 7 feet, which is wide enough to accommodate Medium or smaller creatures. A creature standing on the battlement is considered to be in half cover. While attuned to the shield, you can touch the wall with a free hand and command it to revert to its shield form and don it as a bonus action at which point any damage sustained by the wall remains.

The wall has all the characteristics of any other foot-thick wall of stone with the following caveats (AC 23, 300 hit points, damage threshold 15, immunity to damage from non-magical weapons excluding siege weapons, and resistance to all other damage). Attacks sufficient to destroy the wall cause it to immediately transform back into a shield, which gains the broken condition, becoming un-useable as a wall until mending is cast on the shield. The shield remains in wall form until destroyed or commanded to return to shield form. The wall heals 5d6 hit points at the end of each Short Rest and counts as if Mending was cast.
