- Overload: There is a physiological limit to how much sonic energy can be stored within Tacet’s body. Accumulated energy exceeding this limit will cause her to overload, resulting in her body releasing massive, destructive waves of omnidirectional sound within a limited radius.
- Silence: In environments which lack sound of any sort, no sonic energy can be accumulated. Stored energy can still be projected, however.
- Medium: Sound requires a medium to travel, such as air, water, or earth. Without such a medium, these abilities cannot be utilized.
- Redirection: Sound waves redirect when coming into contact with most surfaces, unless the surface can muffle or otherwise absorb sonic energy. Because of this, careless or unfocused attacks can cause accidental damage to nearby objects or people.
- Loss of Senses: The Silence Aura neutralizes all sound coming to or from Tacet; therefore, she can no longer hear or speak normally.
- Anechoic Disorientation: By expanding the Silence Aura into a bubble, Tacet can expose others to the perfect silence in which she now lives her life. Similar to anechoic chambers, the sudden shift from sound to silence can be severely disorienting; affected individuals may not be able to walk or stand properly, and extended time spent in the field could cause psychological distress.
- Unnatural Speech: Tacet’s Sonic Speech is still rudimentary by normal adult human standards. Until she has more time for training and practice, it will be difficult for her to mask the unnatural source of her new “voice.”
- Unnatural Feature (Aura): Owing to her persistent Silence Aura, Tacet's body is shrouded in what appears to be a hazy and colorful nebula of stars. The effect is noticeable at all times, and intensifies whenever her powers are used (limited duration).
