A hexagonally shaped synth metal prism (roughly 30 x 30 x 30 cm), on its top side is a hand shaped divet in the middle with a shallow groove tracing the outside with 1cm space inbetween. All other sides have a little crystal glass window through which the inside can be seen to an extend. In the middle a replica of the Amber Monolith just floats silently. This device is locked by a numeneran security system and must first be unlocked before it can function properly. This has to be done after every activation and can only be achieved by supplying numeneran blood to it, by dripping it into the shallow groove. To activate this device it has to be kick started with ancient engergy by touching your hand in the divet, if the energy is sufficient the amber inside will start to glow bright. Once active the device projects a 30-feet radius bubble that protects everything inside from the effects of Pyörre, Snap and Tempest. The device can not be moved while active or it will discharge and deactivate early. The shielding lasts for 8 hours before the winds reclaim the area. After use the device can not be used again until it has been charged, either by letting it consume a cypher or finding some other way to restore its energy.
