Description

Dr. Braun is a Goldfield native with extensive knowledge on ancient dwarven history, as well as how to technically manage an archeological expedition. Dr. Braun is a stiff leader who expects excellence, but she cares for the people under her charge and even more for the city itself.
There is nothing she likes more than a good mystery and she has read all the best books in Goldstadt.

Ideals

Logic. Emotions must not cloud my logical thinking (Lawful). Knowledge. Dr. Braun knows that knowledge is the path to a better world.

Bonds

Dr. Braun's life work is a series of tomes related to the Underways, and she will do just about anything to gain more knowledge about them.

Flaws

She is easily distracted by the promise of information.

Spellcasting. Dr. Braun is a 5th-level spellcaster. Her spellcasting ability is Intelligence (spell save DC 14, +6 to hit with spell attacks). She has the following wizard spells prepared:
Cantrips (at will): magic stone, mending, prestidigitation, control flames
1st level (4 slots): catapult*, expeditious retreat*, longstrider*
2nd level (3 slots): alter self*, heat metal*, knock*
3rd level (2 slots): blink*, erupting earth*, slow*


Alchemist's Stone. Dr. Braun carries a magic stone she crafted that grants its bearer one of the following effects:

  • Darkvision out to a range of 60 feet
  • An extra 10 feet of speed while the bearer is unencumbered
  • Proficiency with Constitution saving throws
  • Resistance to acid, cold, fire, lightning or thunder damage (Tilda's choice whenever she chooses this benefit)
If she has the stone and casts a transmutation spell of 1st level or higher, she can change the effect of the stone.
Gnome Cunning. Dr. Braun has advantage on all Intelligence, Wisdom and Charisma saving throws against magic.
Artificer's Lore. Whenever Dr. Braun makes an History checks related to magic items, alchemical objects or technological devices, she can add twice her proficiency bonus, instead of any proficiency bonus she normally applies

Actions

Quarterstaff. Melee Weapon Attack: +2 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1d6-1 bludgeoning damage, or 1d8-1 bludgeoning damage if used with two hands.
