Meudonian Elf

Meudon is the ancestral home of the elves in the Tense River Basin, it lies to the south now as New Meudon. The elves feigned to believe they were outside of the conflict of the Decrept War, but when the fight came to them and destroyed Meudon they finally rose and joined the fight. Outside of the city the elves are few and far between, in part because most Pinions look down at them for waiting to join the war, though it was a thousand years past grudges burn with a supernatural fervor here.
ability score increase: Your Dexterity score increases by 2. Your Constitution score increases by 1.
age: Elves are long lived, and tend to be slow to grow up. Something about having centuries of time keeps them from being at a tremendous rush to maturity. Although physically they mature at the same rate as humans, they never lose their childlike wonder and joy for the first few centuries of life. There will be time enough to stodgy and aloof, they consider themselves in adulthood by their late 20s, but don’t enter their Wizened age until a catastrophe, or their middle 300’s. They claim to live endlessly, but that’s some bullshit and they rarely make it past 500.
alignment: Usually Good
Size: Medium
speed: 30 ft

race features:
Constellation. You have freckles across one or both cheeks that are arranged in the mirror image of a contellation in the night sky. For every Meudonian freckle pattern there is one and only one constellation in the night sky that matches it. Some are important recognizable constellations, and some are clusters of stars that can scarce be seen with the naked eye. Finding your constellation often takes decades of work, but knowing where you fit in the universe can be well worth it.   Darkvision. As creatures tied to the stars Meudonians spend a great deal of time in the dark taking in the starshine. They are well adapted to the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Elf Weapon Training. You have proficiency with the long sword, short sword, longbow and shortbow.   Fate in the Stars. You have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or banished, magic can’t put you to sleep.   Stargazer. Like other elves you don’t need to sleep. Instead you stargaze for four hours, meditating deeply as your mind wanders the stars. You are in a heightened state of dreaming like this. If you do not yet know where to find your constellation in the sky you may make a Navigator’s Tools check once a month to attempt to work through all the gazing you have done and discover your constellation. If you do know where it is and you rest like this you have advantage on attack rolls made while in dreams.   Identifiable. Because each Meudonian has a personal constellation freckled onto their face, they are each identifiable and unique. Meudonians don’t believe in anonymity because they cannot have it. They will be recognizable as themselves for hundreds of years, they don’t try to hide from their mistakes but atone for them.   Navigators Eyes. You have proficiency in the Perception skill and Navigator’s Tools   Starmates. Constellations are made up of many stars, and sometimes those stars form the points in yet another constellation. When dreaming under unobstructed starlight you may share dreams any other Meudonian Elf who's own constellation shares a star with you. You can each determine the well being of the other and have an honest insight to each other's emotional state. No facts or words can be exchanged, simply feelings and obtusely metaphorical dreamlike imagery. Once an elf has found their constellation they may share dreams with all of their starmates, though they need not have ever met them.   Astrology. You can cast Guidance by referencing your star charts. At 3rd level you can cast Augury as a ritual as long as it is performed under the stars. At 5th level you may grant yourself or an ally advantage on their next initiative roll by fixing their alignment to the stars. This can be done once and the ability is regained on a long rest.
