Wondrous Item, Uncommon

A crystal like shard of very intense color.   Knowledge Shards, as the name implies, are made to contain some form of knowledge. As an action an empty shard can be used to copy some knowledge, the using creature has, into the shard itself. This knowledge can be no more than would fit into a 500 page book.   A shard that already contains knowledge can be consumed as an action, shattering and giving the using creature perfect recall of the information for 24 hours, afterwards the creature can forget it, as normal.
