Amnesiac

You are forgotten. You have no memory of who you are, what you did up until this point, or how you got here; it's all a big blank to you, your old life. That hasn't stopped you from trying to move forward though. Maybe you've taken this as a fresh start, an opportunity to build something new, or as a great mystery to be solved, to rediscover yourself and find out what happened to make you forget. Either way, it's no simple task, and you know you have much to figure out.

Awakening Scenario

The old you ended somewhere, and the new you came into being. You woke to find yourself in this predicament and whether the circumstances surrounding the occasion matter to you or not, they may well prove important.

d8 Awakening Scenario

1 You woke at the edge of a forest, a badger chewing on your boot.
2 You woke lying in the mud with a sharp pain in your side as a city guard aimed a kick at your ribs and told you to move along.
3 You were jolted awake by a shock of lightning and found yourself lying on a table in an arcane laboratory.
4 You woke beside a dusty road and a dead horse, the sun beating down on you from above.
5 You woke in an exquisite bedroom, an anxious steward hurrying you out of the estate.
6 You woke to find yourself hanging upside down by your foot, caught in a snare trap, in the midst of a rainy tangle of jungle.
7 You woke at the entrance to a cave of some sort, bloody and covered in cuts and bruises.
8 You don't remember waking, your memory sort of just..... fades in.

Features

Feature: Inklings of the Past

Whether it has to do with your forgotten life or simply trying to make up for lost time, you find yourself to be adept at picking things up, learning quickly, and finding you have a great memory for detail. Additionally, you occasionally have mercurial bits of information or recognition surface in your mind. Perhaps a name or person seems very familiar or untrustworthy, you know you should turn left here rather than right, or you're quite certain owlbears do not usually hunt in packs as your companions are insisting.

Suggested Characteristics

There's no escaping the fact that you're missing a significant part of who you, something you may wish to address, but the immediate concern is who you are now and who you will become.
