Description

Morgan grew up as the son of an innkeeper, working first as a stableboy and then as cook, and finally as the proprietor of the inn itself. He is the the third owner of The Watering Hole, an inn founded at a crossroads by his grandfather more than sixty years ago. His father and mother retired roughly five years ago and left him in charge as they entered a comfortable retirement in a not-too-distant village. Morgan is a relatively thin man, having the body of a distance runner, with wiry muscles built up from years of carrying kegs of ale and chopping wood for the fire. His love of drink, however, has started to contribute to a bit of a belly as he grows older. He sports a somewhat disheveled head of medium-length sandy brown hair with no signs of balding and an angular, sharp-lined face.   Having spent his entire life in the vicinity of travelers and storytellers, Morgan has built up quite the repository of stories himself and often likes to share them with anyone who will listen. He has a proverb, saying, story, or bit of advice for any occasion. Most of the stories told are about the experiences of others rather than himself, but that doesn't seem to bother him. His son Roderick, however, is regularly annoyed that his father is happy to tell the stories of others rather than make stories for himself ... and is determined to do otherwise with his own life.   The doppelganger version of Morgan is not as fond of stories and proverbs, but attempts to maintain appearances as well as possible. However, sometimes these tales trail off or end abruptly, with no real point made or story told. This strange behavior has started to worry Mikolas, though the bard's suspicion is that love-of-drink has started to affect Morgan.
