Half-Gorgon

Ability Score Increase +2 Con, +1 Dex
Size Medium
Speed 30ft

Age. Half-gorgons retain some of the longevity of their immortal lineage. They mature at the same rate as humans, but can live to be 900 years old. In their old age, a half-medusa's body appears to be that of a 40-year-old human.
Alignment. Half-gorgons come in all forms, but many lean towards Neutral.
Size. Half-gorgons are between 5 and 6 feet tall. Your size is Medium.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 30 feet.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern colors in darkness, only shades of grey.
Monstrous Origins. You have proficiency in the Deception and Perception skills.
Petrifying Gaze. When a creature that can see you starts its turn within 30 feet of you, you can use your reaction to force it to make a DC 14 Constitution saving throw if you aren’t incapacitated and can see the creature. If the saving throw fails by 5 or more, the creature is instantly petrified. Otherwise, a creature that fails the save begins to turn to stone and is restrained. The restrained creature must repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn, becoming petrified on a failure or ending the effect on a success. The petrification lasts until the creature is freed by the greater restoration spell or other magic. Like gorgons, your blood is capable of being turned into an elixir that can reverse the effects of petrification, although you need to use twice as much blood as a gorgon. Unless surprised, a creature can avert its eyes to avoid being subjected to your petrifying gaze. If the creature does so, it can't see you until the start of its next turn, when it can avert its eyes again. If the creature looks at you in the meantime, you can use your reaction to have it make the saving throw.
If you see your reflection on a polished surface within 30 feet of you and in an area of bright light, you are, due to your lineage, affected by your own gaze.
Snake Bite. The snakes on your head are natural weapons, which you can use to make unarmed strikes. If you hit with them, you deal piercing damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier.

Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Ancient.
